Book Description

Finally, everything in Lacy Steele's life is going well. Business is booming, and her love life is on track. The only blip on her radar is her sister's hasty marriage, but Lacy vows not to get involved in their mess. Instead she immerses herself in planning the centennial celebration of her high school's band and football team. Her new relationship provides extra motivation to make sure the reunion is perfect.
Everything is going according to plan until Lacy's old rival is found dead, throwing the reunion into chaos and pitting two groups against each other. In a game of popular versus geek, Lacy knows whose side she's on. Unfortunately, she doesn't know how it will affect the tenuous hold she has on her new romance because in order to clear her friends, Lacy must make peace with her high school self once and for all. In finding herself, will she lose her new love? Or will she lose her life?

5.0 out of 5 stars Lacy Steele is unstoppable! February 16, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This is the latest entry in the Lacy Steele saga and, as always, it's the most fun you can have while holding a Kindle. You probably could read this as a stand alone, but I think you would miss out on a lot so I wouldn't recommend it. Part of Lacy's charm is that she has gotten to the point where she's able to embrace her inner geek and she doesn't care who knows it. The premise of this book is a reunion of all her high school friends and frenemies so it fits in perfectly with Lacy's new found self knowledge and self liking although she still has occasional doubts about her boyfriend Jason-current cop, former football star. A former and still mean-girl is found dead at the reunion and so the mystery solving begins. The mystery is not the most important part of the story although it's not a bad aspect. The best part of this book is Lacy and the funny, interesting and sometimes surprising group of characters around her. I recommend this book and series to any reader who likes a little bit of fun, easy reading, and some unforgettable, crazy, belly-laugh inducing characters, all of which will make you long for the next book as soon as you finish this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars This brought back a lot of thoughts of high school! March 15, 2013

I loved this book. I am not usually someone who writes reviews...I think about it but never get around to it. This one I just had to. I enjoyed it so much...it was a great continuation of this series and it was hilarious! I actually laughed out loud quite a few times...my husband thought I was crazy but I just could not help myself. I won't spoil any of the story by mentioning all the parts that got to me but I will say that this is one that you definately have to read if you like funny and entertaining stories.

1.0 out of 5 stars Chick lit of the worse kind April 21, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is one of the worst examples of 'chick lit' I have ever started, it is an insult to anyone who actually likes that genre.
I will not ever mention this to anyone as I would be embarrassed to think anyone would know that I read about 10 pages of this garbage. Over one's lifetime one could expect to read about 1,000 books and if one thinks about all the good books that have ever been printed one would never waste any of your life's opportunities on this very silly book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Funny - laughed from beginning to end! March 21, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Okay I'm unclear as to why the 'added' chapter appeared at the end - it was disconcerting and off-putting. Why didn't the author put it where it belonged and shorten it? This was fun with lots of twists and Lacy is a colossal mess! Loved it.

5.0 out of 5 stars nice book June 3, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have read several of the Lacy Steele Mysteries and I like the characters and the cleaner language and sexual content. I think it is refreshing for an adult character to not jump into the sack with every person they meet and that is the case with these characters. Although there is some discussion about the topic the characters are saving that part of them for when they are sure. Always a good mystery with lots of possibilities.

4.0 out of 5 stars Loving Lacy Steele June 2, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have really enjoyed getting to know Lacy Steele. I am glad that each book began where the last one ended. I like that I got to follow Lacy on her journey of leaving the city and returning to her Grandparents home to lick her wounds and try to rebuild her life.
