This is the second talking caller id I have used. One drawback is it only announces the caller once. My previous unit (different model/manufacturer) announced twice, however, this one has several features the previous did not have, like setting up a specific message for selected callers. On the whole, I have given 2 as gifts and have suggested to friends who have also purchased for their own use and as gifts. They have been received wonderfully. It is a pleasure to be able to screen your calls from another room!

It is so nice to hear who is calling you so that you don't kill yourself running for the phone if the call is from a telemarketer or someone else you don't want to talk to. The set up is very easy (it only took me 5 minutes).

This caller id has a really nifty feature, you can record a message and specify which number(s) to play it for and only people calling from those numbers will hear the message.

This is a great product, but a little confusing to run. It is wonderful for visually handicappped persons, it remembers a lot of numbers that can be recalled later to use. Buttons are a little confusing at first, but it's not hard to catch on to for a sightless person.

I live in a big house, and this unit is loud enough to hear no matter where I am. I don't have to break my neck getting to the phone to see who's calling. Also, if I happen to be on one of my phones that doesn't have caller ID waiting capability, I can hear who's calling while I'm on the other line and decide whether or not to click over to the incoming call.

This device is well designed and operates flawlessly. I especially like the programming capability where one can record the name of an incoming caller. It saves a lot of wear and tear having to run to the phone to see who is calling. If a sixth star were offered I would give it that rating.

I've used this product for well over a year and it is the greatest. It announces the number of the caller and you can record a name association with the numbers.After you have done this, the machine will announce the name rather than the number. It will save you many steps to the phone to check who is calling. Also works with call waiting. Fantastic product!

ClassCo VoiceAnnounce Caller ID 9900CW - Call waiting caller ID is an EXCELLENT product! I have an old Classco caller ID announce and it has been spilled on, dropped more than once and is smoke laden and still works as new! I purchased a new one for my parents as their eyesight and hearing has diminished. The BEST thing for them with this announcer is...it is LOUD! The second best thing is that they can have the names of the callers announced instead of just a phone number as they don't easily recognize who the numbers belong to. The third best thing is the call waiting caller ID, so you know who's calling without missing a beat in your present conversation. The BEST thing for everyone is that the product is well made, long lasting and extremely simple to set up and use! I definately recommend this and all Classco products!

Great product. Announces names that you program for both caller ID and call waiting ID. No need to find your reading glasses to see who is calling. Also, you'll hear the name of a call waiting caller, and can elect to ignore it when you're already on the line.

I looked and looked and looked!!! for a talking caller id phone when my Ameritech one bit the dust and couldnt find one that matched up caller id with the phone book recorded on the phone--this solved that problem! I can even match up several phone numbers for the same person (cell, home, work)--of course, I have to re-read how to do it, but directions are simple to follow. It DOES NOT announce the name listed on the caller id unless you record it, it DOES announce the phone number--that's the only reason why it has 4 stars instead of 5--but then I dont know if any type of thing like this will do that.

I like it. It will say the caller number or your recorded ID of the caller ("Mom's cell", for example).
