Good but not perfect,
By
This review is from: Classic® Canoe / Kayak Boat Cover (Misc.)
Pros- tough, good coverage, protects my kayak well from UV light (and so far, from the neighborhood chipmunks)
Cons- Leaks a little, so there's a tendency to have a little water inside it. Color fades somewhat. Bottom line- this cover will do a good job of protecting your canoe or kayak from UV, bangs and scratches, and from filling up with rainwater. But, it will not completely protect your boat from the elements.

This cover is significantly better than its peers. The material is the same used in quality outdoor furniture. The zipper seems study and seals well. The cover looks the same today as it did when we installed it on the canoe last fall.
Note however that the sizing is exact. If your canoe is the least bit longer than the maximum lenght the cover will not fit. A cover for a sixteen foot canoe means just that 16' and 0". Pros: Heavy material construction, attractive, sturdy. Cons: Tight fit if canoe is max size. Don't even think of stretching to fit a larger canoe. Would buy again and would recommend to another.

heavy duty,
This review is from: Classic® Canoe / Kayak Boat Cover (Sports)
Nice heavy duty canvas, lining and zipper. Seems tough, weather- and water-resistant; sufficient handles for dragging the boat around. Wish they offered more variety of sizes; I had to buy the 9-12 foot size for my 9 foot kayak - way too big. So I always have to fold or bind up the extra material. Not a big problem, but the reason for 4 stars.
Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this cover.

Canoe cover,

I bought this to keep excess water out while not in use. The zipper seam leaks and must be changed before it can actually be considered water proof as it leaks and fills with water. It was not worth it to me to ship it back for a refund so I placed the zippered part folded under the bottom of the canoe until I get a week or so of dry weather and can have a velcroed flap sewn over the entire length of the zipper to keep it sealed and less prone to seepage and filling with water.

Great cover, great value!,
This review is from: Classic® Canoe / Kayak Boat Cover (Misc.)
I noticed a few reviewers are not happy about the cover having too much material for their kayaks. I expected extra material since it is designed for a vessel with a 110 inch girth. I can't think of any kayak that is that large in cross section (Admittedly, I do not know every model from every brand). The cover was not custom designed for any specific canoe/kayak. In fact, Camping World sells the 10 foot model listed here (for a lot more money) as a 12 foot Kayak cover. Even the Danuu covers designed for kayaks have extra material, cost 3 times as much, and don't fully encapsulate your boat. Personally, I like the loose fit for the same reason I'm not some skinny jeans wearing hipster. Easy on and easy off.
The cover I purchased from Amazon was the 10 foot model. For size perspective, it was purchased for a Hobie Outback Kayak (a 12 foot 1 inch barge of a kayak, but a great fishing platform). I knew I was gambling on the fit since the cover was designed for a 10 foot canoe. But, since the girth was was designed for a boat with a girth much larger than the measured girth of the Outback, and Camping World sells it as a 12 foot kayak cover,I figured there would be enough left over material too make up the extra length needed. Unfortunately for me, I gambled wrong. The cover comes up just an inch too short due to the Outbacks rudder mount (and 12' 1" length). I will keep it for an 11 foot kayak I have and order the 14 foot model for the Outback. I also intend to see if the 14 foot model will fit my 15+ foot kayaks. I assume it will due to the designed girth affording me extra material. But, I will hold off ordering multiples until I am sure. I like the quality of the material and the 5 year warranty. If you want a cover made from quality materials that will protect your canoe/kayak from UV light degradation and is water repellent (it does not claim to be waterproof), then this one will suit you just fine. If you are looking for a custom, skin tight fit so your kayak will look sexy when you take it out clubbing, look elsewhere.

Perfect Covers to protect Kayaks and keep bugs out,

We purchased 2 covers for our kayaks. We have had them for about a month and the covers are working perfect. The size is very good and it is very easy to slide the kayak in and out of the cover. The zipper is heavy duty and keeps all of the NC bugs and rain out. Our kayaks are stored outside on a rack and the green cover color is very attractive and blends into the bushes.

Quality material- but the fit?,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Classic® Canoe / Kayak Boat Cover (Misc.)
I was excited when I opened up the box. The cover seems to be made of rugged material, the zipper seemed to seal well, and the seams were well made. But as soon as I put my 14ft kayak in it, it was obvious the fit was attrocious. I did not expect a cover meant to fit both canoes and kayaks of various to fit mine like a glove, but the results were ridiculous. After seeing other reviews complaining about the fit, including the one that said a 16ft cover would fit a 16ft boat and not an inch longer, I was careful to select the 14ft cover size. When I put the thing on, however, there was easily two feet of extra material at the end as well as a considerable excess (well over 2ft) to account for the girth of the yak. The box said 14ft, but I suspect they sent the 16ft'er (I couldn't help but notice the size printed on the box was in fact a sticker place over the 18ft model). All things considered, I haven't decided whether to return the thing or try to take in the seams myself.
Bottom line, quality of materials seem good but the fit is incredibly dissappointing.

The cover has adhered itself to the bottom of the canoe. After a month of use, the cover's inside vinyl has stuck to the canoe from the sun. If I still had the box it came in I would want a refund.

I am satisfied with the price and the quality of my purchase. The cover is a little big but serves its purpose in protecting my Kayak. I think it was made more specifically for a canoe then a kayak.

Lets Water In,

It does well enough in providing cover for my canoe, but it lets way too much water in. I want to leave it unzipped to air it out but then all the bugs would get in.
