5.0 out of 5 stars Grill sizes specified by manufacturer
I just received the XXL Veranda BBQ cover. In the info from the manufacturer, they provide the following size chart:

Medium fits BBQs up to 58" wide and 26" deep
Large fits BBQs up to 63" wide and 26" deep
XLarge fits BBQs up to 70" wide and 26" deep
XXLarge fits BBQs up to 70" wide and 36" deep

I think this sizing info is more...

3.0 out of 5 stars love this BBQ grill cover!
As other reviewers described it, this BBQ grill cover is made out of excellent material--sturdy. In addition, I like other features, such as the ability to tie its four corners to the grill (so it won't fly away with wind), the handles that help you position it, and its pockets.

Great buy and it was worth the $10 more I paid over the previous one, which...

I just received the XXL Veranda BBQ cover. In the info from the manufacturer, they provide the following size chart:

Large fits BBQs up to 63" wide and 26" deep
XLarge fits BBQs up to 70" wide and 26" deep
XXLarge fits BBQs up to 70" wide and 36" deep

I think this sizing info is more informative than what Amazon provides. My grill is, in its largest dimensions, 68" x 25". Although the XL might have worked, I am happy with the XXL size, it fits well.

I like the appearance and overall quality of this product. It seems to be well-made and functional. My only complaint is that they should have made the straps on the bottom (which attach around the grill wheels or legs) a little bit longer. Either that, or they should have made the whole cover a little bit longer. I can attach 2 of the 4 straps, which is quite sufficient. I'm glad I chose to get the XXL size.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Weber! Get the Medium Size!, April 24, 2009
By

This review is from: Classic Accessories 73912 Veranda Cart-Style Barbecue Cover, Medium, 58 Inch (Lawn & Patio)
The first thing you need to know is DO NOT BUY THE WEBER BRAND COVER! Everything the reviews say about it is true! The vents are directly over the side tables and water comes right in. Weber makes a superior grill but their grill cover is substandard.

The Veranda grill cover is perfect! Heavy duty material, quality construction, covered ventilation areas to prevent condensation and looks good.

I bought the Weber Genesis E-310. For all those Weber owners wondering if they should get the medium cover or large cover, get the medium cover! I bought both and tested both. You won't be disappointed with the large size, but the medium size fits better. Don't worry, the medium size will NOT be too tight. The large size hangs over the side table ends a little bit more than the medium and because of this it probably sits a little closer to the ground. But with the medium size, all the seams line up perfectly with the grill table ends, top lid, and under grill storage cabinet. It sits low enough to the ground to completely cover the entire grill, but not look like you've thrown an oversized tarp over it. The medium size probably sits about 2 inches from the ground. the large size, probaby an inch and a half. Like I said, you won't be disappointed with the large size, but the medium just fits much better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best grill cover I've seen, May 19, 2008

This thing is VERY heavy duty and attractive. A tip. You might notice that this Amazon ad above doesn't tell you how big of a grill each size covers. When you select a size and put it in your shopping cart it will tell you what it can cover. The large is for up to a 64 inch grill.

This thing is much nicer than a Weber cover that costs twice as much.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality and attractive!, May 22, 2007

This seems to be a very nice, heavy duty, well made cover. Its made from a woven fabric that could be canvas, but is more likely a heavy duty woven synthetic as is used for a laptop case or piece of luggage. The interior has what appears to be a vinyl layer to make it waterproof.
For securing it around the bottom, it has a stretchy drawstring, but I think its kind of useless. The fabric is very heavy and does not really want to wrinkle up like it needs to to make a drawsting work.
There are four small loops sewn into the bottom near where the legs of your gril should be. Through each loop is a short strap with a plastic buckle - maybe 8 inches long or so. These straps are designed to buckle around the legs of your grill. But if you have a pedastal grill with no legs (like I do), you can remove the straps from the loops and use some other mechanism to secure the cover. For example, you could get some short bungee cords and connect the front and rear loop on each side to help hold it in place. In any case, because the straps are removable, it offers a lot of flexibility in securing the cover.

5.0 out of 5 stars Large Fits my Weber Summit S-470 perfectly, May 2, 2010
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was bit apprehensive whether my choice of "Large" would fit my Weber Summit S470 since the Weber dimension is 66 inches wide and the advertised Veranda size is 64 inches wide. I was pleasantly surprised at the perfect fit. It's not tight at all and have plenty of play to fit the cover easily. Also the top hood fit couldn't be any better, it fits perfect with some room 1/2 inch on both sides for play. The length to the ground couldn't be better either because the bottom hem rests just above the casters. And the easy snap on straps for high winds are exactly next to the casters for ease of use. Its almost as if the Veranda designer had the Weber Summit Series in mind.
I've been in the upholstery business and must say without a doubt the quality and fit is superb. As a real bonus I was delighted to see the Mesh-Venting (right & left side)covered and sewn-in to protect my S-470 from rain, the secret being leaving only the bottom portion open to allow for circulation and to keep the interior from sweating. The craftsmanship is excellent. I also loved the idea to have the 2 sewn-in handles on top to facilitate ease of handling the cover. I doubt I'll be using the large zipper pocket in front. I could not think of what to use it for except maybe another cover for severe weather to keep this Veranda cover new looking as possible because it's really great looking, rich looking, and color appealing. All girls said: isn't it fantastic not to see the usual ugly black. Without a doubt this cover will make anyone proud and enhance the patio look. The warranty is 3 years. I suggest to lightly spray a clean cover with Scotch Guard in your 3rd year. And every 3 years thereafter. Just as you should wash your roll-up garage door every so often to prolong its beauty if you take care of this cover it should last you many many years.

5.0 out of 5 stars High Quality Cover, October 2, 2007
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This grill cover was medium/heavy and appears to be a durable material. The cover nicely fit my large grill and has some nice features like vent holes and two handles on top for easy removal. One caveat, the descritpion said 72 inch grills but the box cover indicated 70 inch grills. It did fit my 72 inch grill fine, however I doubt it would fit much more then an inch or two larger.

5.0 out of 5 stars High Quality Cover- exceeds expectation, May 31, 2009
Very nice quality cover at very reasonable price. Size medium fits my Weber Genesis EP320 perfectly. In fact- the box says it fits grills up to 58", the EP320 is 60" and the cover still has a bit of room to spare. Cover drapes to within 1" of deck. Heavy material with draw string and leg straps should resist the heaviest winds.

Highly recommend this product.

As other reviewers described it, this BBQ grill cover is made out of excellent material--sturdy. In addition, I like other features, such as the ability to tie its four corners to the grill (so it won't fly away with wind), the handles that help you position it, and its pockets.

Great buy and it was worth the $10 more I paid over the previous one, which lasted three years, but I already know this one will last even longer.

UPDATE: It's been 2.5 yrs since I bought this item. From a distance it still looks good. Also, I still like the design. However, it already has a tear at the top. I am not sure the expected time it should last, but I think it should be more than 2.5 years . . .

5.0 out of 5 stars No other covers compare, March 14, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
We recently replaced our Kenmore gas grill and keep it on our deck in rural Kansas. We also like to keep our grill in good condition - difficult to do outside in our part of the country. Our winters are wet, freezing, snowy, windy and did I mention windy? If that isn't enough, our summers are hot, sunny, windy and did I mention windy? Keeping our old grill covered has been a challenge. When the wind blows here, it can wreck havoc on tarps, covers and anything not of substantial quality and well-secured. The wind can get up underneath a cover and shred it very quickly.

This cover is made of a good quality material, not unlike a heavy boat tarp. It has some kind of rubbery-type inner lining to prevent moisture from seeping in and the zippers are covered to keep them weather tight. There are strategically placed loops, straps and buckles that latch to the grill's legs to hold the bottom from blowing up. The sides have a bungee drawstring (the cover is so stiff this is the least effective feature of the cover) to further hold things down.

The cover is a nice light tan color that time will tell, but I believe will keep it from fading. It has sown in handles on each side of the top that help a great deal when removing the cover from the grill. It has a pocket with a zipper in the front for keeping utensils etc. It is nicely shaped and fits our grill well and looks nice on the deck. Overall when I compare this cover with some of the on-purpose Kenmore and other brand covers we've bought - only to be destroyed (did I mention the wind) by the weather, there is no comparison. Throw in the fact that it isn't any more expensive and in some cases is cheaper, has a lot of nice features many others don't, no other cover we've tried compares.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, excellent all around, June 25, 2007
This review is from: Classic Accessories 73912 Veranda Cart-Style Barbecue Cover, Medium, 58 Inch (Lawn & Patio)
I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box for this thing. This is NOT your average cheap plastic grill cover from the local discount store. It is a nice thick canvas type material that won't crack or rip easily. I bought this for my Charmglow grill from HD and it fits perfectly. I'm already thinking about purchasing some of their other products. When I think about the cheap piece of junk I almost bought for $20 at HD that was made for this grill, I get the shivers!
