late shipping, too small, very expensive to return, October 23, 2007
The car cover is way too small for a compact car (Honda Civic). The opening for the door was also in a weird location so that you can't really use it to get into the car when the cover is on. I was able to return it but had to pay return shipping which costs over $20 - not worth it.
It also did not ship until after the date it was due to be delivered. Lots of hassle and not a good product. Very expensive to return.

Great for a small sedan., October 3, 2010
The compact size "Deluxe PolyPro III" was designed for a small sports sedan and barely fits my 2010 Golf (a hatchback). By "sports", I mean a car that has a lower roofline than most sedans. The lower 6" of the sides of my Golf are not covered. From the reviews of the mid-size model, the mid-size fits longer cars, but is still too short around the sides, apparently even for normal compacts.
Still it is adequate for most purposes. The door zipper is adequately located for my Golf. Folding in the side mirrors (easy to do) provides a few extra inches, which are critical for my car. Even so, it takes much pulling and adjusting to fit it to my Golf---6 or 8 inches of addition material all the way around would make a world of differance.
The material is heavy, rubbery, rugged on the outside, soft on the inside, and made to breathe. Therefore the cover should be good at protecting the car (at least the portion covered) from tree sap, scratches by gravel, blowing sand, and small falling tree branches etc. The breathability factor should help prevent the accumulation of moisture and mildew, etc., but also means that the inner side can get wet---in which case the cover becomes heavy, and it is probably essential to dry it out before putting it away. I gather from other reviews that the cover also "breathes"-in fine dust, which accumulates. Perhaps a non-breathing cover would be better in dry dusty areas. There are grommet holes in the center for the cover to be tied down if desired---I use a 2' bungy cord instead of the supplied rope.
The cover is very bulky---if not stuffed into the stuff bag it would fill the trunk of a good-size car. Getting it back into the stuff bag takes some effort. Recommendation: Don't try to "fold" the cover into the stuff-bag---it's easier to just "stuff it" in. I appreciate the attached stuff bag (which is placed in the trunk when the cover is on the carto prevent theft).
Since purchasing the cover, I've been wondering if a simple tarp (plastic or water-proof canvas) and 3 bungy cords might work better. Advantage: the tarp would be cheaper, easier to install on the car, would cover the whole car, and the simple square tarp would be easier to fold and stash away). Disadvantage: A tarp wouldn't offer the as much impact protection, and might be more prone to collect moisture (and mildew).
Conclusion: For a car it fits (a small sports sedan) it would be a terrific cover. For my Golf, it is good for the price.

Ok, but sizing is off., November 14, 2010
It looks OK, and appears to be of good quality, but the box shows it's only for cars up to 210" long, not the 228 as indicated by the mfg.
