It leaks. Don't waste your money. This just doesn't work very well. They have the collapsible part down but not the holding water part. I have had other brand collapsible bowls in the past and they have worked very well - just not this one. It isn't as if it has a hole in it. It's more like the bottom membrane is not waterproof.

We purchased this item because others in our dog groups have them for walks in the Texas heat. They work very well. However, the one we chose is too large to fit into the pack we take so it isn't as convenient as we had hoped. We got the larger size because Regal, our dog, is 70 lb. with a big head. However, in terms of taking the bowl on a walk, a smaller version would have been better for us. There is no problem with how the bowl functions, but I would advise others to check the size specs and purchase a version that best suits their needs.

These bowls are nicely made and do what they are supposed to do. The quality is very nice for the price. They are bigger than I expected. Both of my dogs can eat out of just one. Easily holds 6-8 cups of food.
