5.0 out of 5 stars Works well
I bought this as an alternative to saddlebags that would be much more expensive. I works very well and looks quite good on my motorcycle. I has modest capacity, but more than enough for my license, registration, two pairs of gloves, sunglasses, wallet, cell phone, a reflective vest, a helmet lock and more stuff. You could easily fit a water bottle, maps etc. As you would...

3.0 out of 5 stars Straps are disappointing
This bag is just the right size for my V-Star 1300. I needed just a little more room for overnight trips, and the space suits me well. I was very disappointed with the straps, and the way they "loop" around a piece of the bike. The long back strap split across the fender on the first mile, and I had to throw it away. I followed the recommended instructions (which...

I has modest capacity, but more than enough for my license, registration, two pairs of gloves, sunglasses, wallet, cell phone, a reflective vest, a helmet lock and more stuff. You could easily fit a water bottle, maps etc. As you would expect, when on the bike it makes it a little harder to mount, because you have to throw your leg over it.

5.0 out of 5 stars simply wonderful, April 10, 2009

This Tail Bag is great! it is easy to install, and the material is very sturdy and nice. The interior is PVC material which means it keep the things inside cool/warm(how well does it work I don't know, but it is nice to know they keep materiel in mind)
the size is perfect, it can fit your Chinese foods to go! lol
I have a Honda Rebel so as you know I don't have a huge bike, but it fits well without jamming my seat. To take it off is very easy too, just use the buckle and it's off, no untied, no zipper!
great price, great product, if you don't have a tail bag yet, look no further!

I have a Yamaha Road Star. I didn't want to spoil its look with big saddle bags, but needed something to hold small purchases on short trips. This bag does the job and is easy to attach and remove. Not big enough for trips or large items tho. I holds my rain gear and a few other things just fine.

3.0 out of 5 stars Straps are disappointing, August 11, 2010

This bag is just the right size for my V-Star 1300. I needed just a little more room for overnight trips, and the space suits me well. I was very disappointed with the straps, and the way they "loop" around a piece of the bike. The long back strap split across the fender on the first mile, and I had to throw it away. I followed the recommended instructions (which state that the straps are adjustable for any motorcycle), but the recommendation was flawed for a cruiser. However, there are still four other straps. I'm not returning it, because I figured out how to secure the bag to the frame without tearing up the straps, but it's not as easy and quick as the description says it is (unless you want your stuff to go flying off while you're on the road).
It does fit nicely on the back seat (I don't have a sissy bar or back rest), and the rain cover is a great idea. I'm keeping it because I don't keep it on the bike all the time. Overall, a decent purchase for the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy and Perfect Size, July 6, 2010
This review is from: Classic Accessories MotoGear 73727 Motorcycle Tail Bag (Automotive)
I bought this bag after many years of riding with nothing but a cargo net for storage. My biggest concern was finding something that had enough of a foot print to hold books/magazines. With riding many years without a tailbag I did not see the reason to spend $80 for something I was unsure would work for my purpose. Once I saw this tailbag I was a bit skeptical whether or not the bag was going to be large enough but with it costing less than $40 bucks, I was willing to give it a try. Once it arrived I was impressed with the construction. It has thick insulated panels that make up the overall shape of the bag and side pockets work well for sunglasses and gloves. The bag's inside dimensions are perfect for hauling books and magazines. The bag keeps it's shape whether loaded or not. The straps that came with the bag have rubber infused to keep the straps from moving or working loose. The bag takes some getting used to having not used one in the past. Mostly mounting and dismounting is where you notice it most. I have combated this by standing on the peg first before swinging a leg over.
To sum it up I would've paid $60 for it knowing what I know now about this bag.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tail bag, June 10, 2009
This review is from: Classic Accessories MotoGear 73727 Motorcycle Tail Bag (Automotive)
I have a kawasaki ninja. This bag is the perfect size for a sport bike. The straps work well and the bag seems secure. It has a pocket that has a rain cover for the whole bag which is nice. So far I really like this bag and would suggest it to anyone looking for a tail bag.

4.0 out of 5 stars Looks good but need some tinkering to work with my bike, August 3, 2011

The bag looks pretty good but it needs some tinkering to work with my Kawasaki ER-6N (or whatever sport bikes in that matter) since the straps needs to be attached to some sort of fender.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works great, not as pretty as the picture, September 12, 2009

I bought this as a hold over until I decide on some hard case saddle bags.

It works and it has some good space. It doesn't sit quite as nicely as the picture (it folds over the seat a bit), but maybe I just have it too tight.

I would definitely recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars great product, January 8, 2009

This is a very high quality bag for a very low price.
Feel very satisfied with it after having it on my F650GS for 2months.
The built-in rain cover is also very handy. Perfect for daily commute.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tail and Side Bags - a great combination, January 1, 2009
This review is from: Classic Accessories MotoGear 73727 Motorcycle Tail Bag (Automotive)
I added the tail and side bags for my Star XVS 650 Custom, and they've come in handy on many trips. For my bike, I placed the mounting straps under the passenger/pillion seat. First remove the single nut holding the passenger seat in place and then slide it out. They you can connect the straps together, and place the seat back.
