Overload principle is KEY!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Classic Arms & Abs of Steel [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I've been working out for sometime, however, I wasn't seeing the definition I was looking for. This video is really great. I developed a six-pack in no time. In addition, my arms never looked so good, but, remember the overload principle is the key. The more weight you use, the better the results in terms of definition and time.

Tough and Effective,
By A Customer
This review is from: Classic Abs of Steel [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I have tried a few other ab videos by Denise Austin and others and although good, this is still the toughest and most effective. There are 2-15 min. workouts. The only inconvenience is that the warm up is only at the beginning of workout #1 and you may want to use it and fast forward to do workout #2.

This is a great video!!!! I have several Tamilee videos, and I think this one is the best. This video alternates between arm and ab exercises. The heavier the weights and the harder the intensity of your movements, the better your results will be. I have been using this video 2-3 times a week for about 3 months now. My arms are VERY toned. My abs are coming along, but after 3 kids, I do have a long way to go. I recommend this video to anyone who wants to shape up their arms and abs.

For beginners only!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Classic Arms & Abs of Steel [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I have two other tapes by Tamilee and they are excellent. I was disappointed with this video's image quality and the exercises. I would say that I am in the beginner/intermediate stage, but the ab moves were elementary and not challenging enough for me. It's "intermediate/advanced" title is misleading. I don't recommend it.

The Best Abs,
By A Customer
This review is from: Classic Abs of Steel [VHS] (VHS Tape)
In 1993 I received a Abs of Steel 2 (it is now called Classic Abs of Steel) tape from a person I worked with. I begin using this tape 2-3 times a week. After about a month I begin to feel my stomach changing and at first was not sure what it was but begin to realize this tape was really working. I used it consistently til 1999 and my abs were really defined. I was not able to use the tape in 2000 due to expecting however since I've had my baby (I had to buy a new tape)I am starting back up again because I know it works. It is definitely a Classic of Tamliee Webbs abs exercise tapes. I recommend her other tapes also "The Tamilee Collection (Abs of Steel)" and "Buns of Steel 4". I am sure her other tapes are just as good. Tamilee's Ab tapes have worked for me. Give it a try!!

Defintely Works,

You will definately see and feel results after this video. I've been using it for a few weeks and I can begin to see definition in the upper abs. The video is divided in to two segments. Both segments keep you moving the whole time so you do get a bit of a cardio workout. The first segement focuses on the basic ab area. I'm not exactly sure what the second section is focusing on though. Also in the second section, my legs get tired pretty fast because Tamilee has you lie on on your side and sort of crunch over and have your leg touch your elbow. I give this 4 stars for results but it does not get the 5th star because as I said, I'm know the second section accomplishes something, just I'm not sure what.

First time using it, my abs were sore for 2 days! Arms and shoulders were, too, but it's a "I'm toning up, so it's going to hurt a little" kind of feeling. I like the way she does an arm exercise, then to the floor for an ab, then arm, then ab so you feel you can get through the whole tape. I used the soup cans for my initial weights and it's working great until I feel like I can graduate up to actual weights. I'm excited about this workout!

I have had this tape for a little over a year and I just started using it again. I love the fact it alternates between floor and arm exercises. My arms are coming along and I know I will see results if I stick to it.

I made the mistake of buying this video. It's probably very good for women, but too easy for men. If your a guy, I'd recommned '8 Minute Abs' or the 'Men of Steel Abs of Steel' video.

With two kids and a limited budget, I was looking for a workout I could do at home (in my small living room). I have only used this tape a few times, but I am happy with it. Tamilee alternates between arm exercises sitting in a chair (you'll need one with no armrests) and ab exercises on the floor. I like the idea that I can continue doing the same arm exercises, but make them increasingly difficult just by adding more weight (you'll also need a set of dumbells). The video is dated, but the exercises themselves still gave me a good workout! I would recommend this to someone who is just getting started.
