ok now i'll admit that i've only been playing airsoft for 2 years now but i did my reasearch and quickly became obsessed. my friend will bought a saw and payed about 700 dollars for it. by the time he finished upgrading it and adding accesories like a larger ammo box, he was at 11 hundred dollars. his gun is decked out but because he upgraded it so much they wont let him use it on a battle field. if you get a gun like this one dont upgrade it. no need to. for two reasons. one, it's a supressive fire weapon. you wont go bust into a room with one of these and take hostages. and two because it is already made with the best combination of accuracy power and distance. toying with it's insides would either render one of it's funtions useless or throw it's balance out of whack. i mean who needs a 500fps suppresive fire weapon. you can have one at 350 and still be amazing.

Typical Aegs shoot 280-310 and most fields that are moderated have a 350 fps limit so 400 fps aegs is great if u wanna play by yourself or in a non official place.....i also sure hope that a sniper can shoot 500 being they are normally single shot.....theyre not in the same categlory so your not comparing apples and apples.... this is a very nice gun....it is expensive for the parts included and the functionality...this gun is defidently not a beginner gun so i only reccomend it for people who have owned 2 or more aegs previously (AEG-TM ICS ,CA, AIM M4,G&P,G&G,Ect...)

Do you even know anything about high quality AEGs? And no your $30 AUG is not high quality, nor is it an AEG its an LPEG.

This gun costs so much because it is made of almost 90% metal. Plus 350 FPS is nothing. Go to real battles where snipers reach 500 fps, and the average AEG shoots 400 fps.

There is a Chinese clone of this coming out in May for around $300. It has a STEEL body, comes with a FREE auto winding box magazine, and it shoots an incredible 450FPS stock, which, as the other guy said, is the limit for support weapons at a minimum engagement distance of 40 feet.

Since this gun has a metal gear box and steel bushings so you can pop in a M120($11) spring without any other upgrades and that would make it about 410 FPS. And besides, the point is not the FPS, or the metal content, but the ROF and mag capacity. With a 9.6v 3300 mah battery it will shoot about 1200 rounds a minute, and a $100 box mag will hold 2500 bb's. Also, a reason to get this over other guns is that airsoft sites usually allow recognized support guns and only support guns to go up to 450 FPS.

Also, let me add that I am seriously considering getting this gun and am a little annoyed by all the reviews by people who do not own them. I am just reviewing this to set everyone straight.

Do you even know what you are talking about? I may be a kid but i have been airsofting for 5 years now. 350 fps is nothin. My ak47 airsoft gun goes over 410. Next time please know what you are talking about before you give a bad review.

This airsoft gun looks awsome but like $1,000 for an airsoft gun that shoots as fast as my $90.00 airsoft xm8 semi/auto and has a few extra parts. if you sold this for a cheaper price i would buy it in a heartbeat.
