I've been buying these calendars for a couple of years to hang at work; you might think of it as a statement of general taste. Besides, I'd probably get in trouble if I hung up a Playboy calendar. I've long thought of the CD you get with the calendar as a nice extra benefit but nothing special. Well, this time the CD is special. The delightful versions of Mama don't want no easy riders around here alone are worth the price of the CD--but the Big Chief Blues and Mr.Postman Blues are also absolutely terrific songs--and the rest of the CD is quite listenable. And when I say terrific songs, I mean terrific, they have become my favorite songs overnight--I played the CD in my car and sang alone and generally behaved like some 14 year old girl with a crush on Beiber or something. Which I am not, so don't send me any strange messages, thank you. Anyway, its a terrific collection of old blues songs that just happen to be rarities.

I guess the calendar is ok too but I won't really look at it until next year so I don't know. Two nice things about these calendars sets (in general). 1) You get all sorts of cool birthdays and stuff, like B.B. King's birthday, so you can be obnoxious and shout out stuff at work like "Did you know its Furry Lewis' birthday??" and people can yawn and say "That's nice." and 2) (this is my helpful hint for the year) If you get an empty jewel box, you can put the inserts that come with the CD into it and make a nice professional looking CD.

This is one of the coolest things I have seen in a long time, especially in the calendar department. It has a prime spot on my new orange kitchen wall. Very awesome!
