35" Classic Caribbean Pirate Cutlass Sword Bow Guard

We are having a Pirate themed wedding in April, we had to order certain themed items for the grooms men. One of which was this sword, WE however bought the same sword at BudK for 24.98 on sale (normally 36.99). When we saw this, we could tell that they tried to darken the BudK serial number on the blade. So don't be fooled, order it from BudK and get it at nearly half the price.

Looks good, Feels good. My only complaint the the silver that wraps the handle of the sword, it just doesnt really seem to fit in all that well. It however, does not irritate your hand(not that I have noticed) while it is in use, so no worries there. Other then that, Great Sword!

Beautiful product. I was extremely happy with the fast service and the quality of the item. It was a perfect addition to my pirate outfit and made my brother extremely jealous. I would highly recommend this item and its seller.

This sword looks and feels authentic! Has nice grip and stylish handle. The sheath has great detailing, simple but well done skull and cross-bone accent. The blade is sturdy and fits securely in the sheath, easy draw of the sword. I would recommend this for adults as the blade is real. Excellent for my Pirate costume!

This sword currently resides in the dark depths of the corner of my room. The sword itself is really cool. My biggest beef with it is that the silver part of the scaboard (sheath) comes loss & falls off from time to time. Of course this may be because I wore it to a haloween party in a sword frog.

As you may have guessed, I bought this for a Jack Sparrow costume. Just so everyone knows, it has a black blade. I knew this and am okay with that. It is sturdy, and is a lot cheaper than buying a replica, with a very similar look. Be careful though, it has a very sharp point that my office chair met under unfortunate circumstances. It shipped quickely, and will be a costume prop for years to come.

I bought this to finish off my Krewe costume for Mardi Gras. I liked that it is not over-the-top with cliche pirate decorations.

Based on the price and low quality of steel I was expecting a blunt sword for costume purposes, the sword has a very sharp point and the blade is moderately sharp. So it is less than ideal of a drunken costume ball.

One of my main gripes is the description proffers a "polished finish," however, the blade is anything but polished. It is a very dull steel even after using from Brasso.

So,.. I'm not sure who their niche audience is, but costume party people be careful with the sharp pointy sword.

I love this sword. The blackened parts of the blade make it look authentic and the detail on the handle is cool. But the bead thing that wraps the handle is kind of annoying... otherwise, it's and awesome sword!

This item is a nice complement to a costume, it's real and gives a "real" appeal to any pirate costume. As far as it being an authentic "cutlass" it's 5" too long so from a collectors standpoint, it just doesn't cut the mustard. Other than that, a great price for what you get.

The sword and scabbard are very nice and perfect for my son's pirate costume which he wears on only a few occassions each year to the Michigan Renaissance Festival. I would have given it a higher rating but the top and bottom parts of the scabbard fell off within minutes of opening the box. This was nothing that a little Gorilla Glue would not fix but the parts should have been glued to stay before the sword was sold. Otherwise,
