For older children as well as adults.

Drawings seem to be very true to form, backgrounds are a little hokey, as they are in all of these books.

I highly recommend this to anyone who appreciates cars and enjoys coloring.

My boys are fans of the Dover Coloring Book series and of Bruce LaFontaine's auto books in particular. They had colored some leftover pages from his "American Muscle Cars" book, so I got them a new copy, along with "Classic Cars of the 50's," "Luxury Cars," and this "Classic Cars" book. The frustrating thing was that this "Classic Cars" book is actually a compilation of the other three books that I had ordered. While that does make it a good deal at $7.95 versus $3.95 for each one alone, I wish I had known this ahead of time and I could have order only this one. I guess a positive spin is that at least my two boys will have a copy of each picture of their own. No fighting!

Whenever I see a product with Bruce's name and Dover press, I automatically know that I will enjoy it, and this is no exception. This book includes other works by Bruce: "Cars of the Fifties," "American Muscle Cars" and "Luxury Cars."

As I stated in another review, I often find myself in situations where I am waiting on my companion as she shops, conducts business or visits. So in those times of waiting, I pull out my trusty lap desk, my colored pencils and an adult coloring book -- this time, Bruce La Fontaine's "Classic Cars."

The pictures are meticulously rendered. They all include backgrounds and some include people as well. So you better have some flesh color, sienna, ocre, umber and many shades of green amoungst your colors. Bruce includes enough detail to keep a conscientious coloring maven busy for hours. It takes me about two hours to color a page. I especially enjoy the stonework and plants.

I use Crayola and Rose Art pencils and have recently addded some Prangs, Loews and Faber Castels to my pencil inventory. I have tried Prismacolor, but they tend to be too soft for me.

If you are an adult into coloring and you enjoy meticulous detail, this is a coloring book you will enjoy.

This big coloring book included cars that have been featured in other coloring books by Mr. La Fontaine, which I had colored previously, but that was no deterent to my enjoyment of this excellently illustrated book.

I highly recommend this to anyone who appreciates cars and enjoys coloring.

There are small details on each car, so this would probably be too difficult for a child. This is an adult coloring book.

The has great art, plus there's a paragraph on each car. My little friend is still a little young for the text, but he loves the pictures, and the coverage is outstanding.

Although the illustrations are kind of hit or miss in quality, it's still fun to while away a few hours here and there. It's also kind of nice that he included a little history with each car to make it interesting. Paper quality is high enough for colored pencils and MAYBE water color if you are careful or only do one side of a page. Not recommended for markers.
