4.0 out of 5 stars The good old days...when Anakin Skywalker was the bad guy, September 20, 2003
This review is from: Classic Characters 2004 12-month Wall Calendar (Star Wars) (Calendar)
For those who think that the quatum leap forward in computer generated images is never going to replace good old fashion story telling, the "Star Wars: Classic Characters 2004 12-month Wall Calendar" takes fans of the original trilogy back to those thrilling days of yesteryear when X-wing fighters looked cool even if they were not doing anything special against the Death Star. The photographs for each month are not full page, but take on a vertical design: a major photograph with smaller images offered as counterpoint. This time around you get Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, an extremely young looking Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and C-3PO, Yoda, Darth Vader, the Emperor, Bobba Fett, and a Storm Trooper. The pictures end up being on the small size, but are presented with some artistic pretensions to make this an above average "Star Wars" calendar. Of course, it is rather sobering to think we have reached the point when we are nostalgic about "Star Wars"...
