I wanted to make a cloth doll that a child would be able to play with and love. I don't have much experience at that so I checked into instruction books. What made this one stand out to me was the picture on the cover. These dolls have such beautiful faces. This is definitely not a book for beginners. You need to have some experience at sewing, and being able to draw is a plus, as the facial features are drawn right on to the fabric. I found the instructions clear and fairly easy to follow. It took time and patience, but the doll turned out beautiful. I recommend this to anyone with a background in sewing. fiber arts, and/or general art.

The book is great in detailing the steps for making these beautiful, classic, cloth dolls. It has patterns for dolls as well as patterns for several beautiful outfits. I think it was well worth the price paid! I am pleased with the pictures as well.
