I grew in the 50's and 60's listening to, enjoying and watching the Green Valley Boys on television in Michigan. What a fabulous treat to hear them on the new CD - it has the original recordings with the entertaining comments live from the show itself. It was just like being 8 again and singing along with my grandparents to this great music.Bob Rowe does an outstanding job on "Down to My Last Cigarette"and "Long Black Veil"-his voice rich and resonant. How lovely to have Jimmy and Rendal's "Orange Blossom Special" on a CD! And my personal favorite "Old Prairie Schooner"!! Thank you Bob, Jimmy and Rendall for putting this all together~ it is wonderful to have the music I enjoy hearing so much when you perform in person, with me in the car and at work! Much love to you all :-) |
