This is a great album. Most of these melodies are discontinued by their original producers. Here we can find LORNE GREENE, an artist who was the star of the famous old western TV series, BONANZA. Here he is narrating the story of the bandit RINGO. This song will never be found again, as I have mentioned, it has been discontinued by its producer. All these songs contained in this album, reflect OLD WESTERN living style, a great portrait of that times. An there are also some contemporary life songs, one example HOT ROD LINCOLN, HONEY, NUMBER ONE IN 1968 sung by Bobby Goldsboro, I recommend this album, for country music lovers, and those who want to share OLD WESTERN STORIES.

More Great Story Songs / Classic Country series / Time Life single CD: The first "Great Story Songs" CD had the best of the best so this follow-up CD has some second-stringers among a few more solid classics. While "Green Green Grass of Home" is an essential classic, songs like Bonanza's Lorne Greene's "Ringo" is more funny than Classic. Four Stars.

A little info on the Time Life Country Classics:

Time Life has single CDs under the title of "Best of Classic Country" divided into decades so there is a single CD under that name for the "50's", "60's", "70's" and "80's".

Time Life also has many single CDs under the general term of "Country Classics". These titles include:

- Queens of Country
- God, Family, Country
- Road songs
- Great Story Songs
- More Great Story Songs
- Crazy Country Hits
- Sweet Country Ballads
- Honky Tonk Heroes
- Great Country Gospel
and several (many many) more titles. These disks are all very good to great, but there is a lot of songs that are repeated from one disk to another.

My youngest daughter has loved this kind of music since she was tiny because her grandpa used to sing many of these songs to her. I bought her this CD as well as the original CD. She loves them and we sometimes play the music on long drives.
