5.0 out of 5 stars A great compilation
Having missed a number of disney movies in recent years (we have a 9 month old, so I don't think we'll be missing any more!) - I didn't know a lot of these songs from Hercules, Hunchback and Nightmare Before Xmas, but now I do - and my son loves dancing to them! After Volumes 1 & 2, which have the most songs that I recognize, this is the best cd in the set, and I...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for Humphrey fans.
If you buy this because the label led you to believe that you were getting the Humphrey the Bear trash collecting song from "In The Bag". You are going to be disappointed. The song entitled "The Humphrey Hop" that is listed as being from that cartoon actually appears here as a choral piece with the same toon, but none of the same lyrics that were in the short, no vocals...

5.0 out of 5 stars This is certainly the best in the series!, November 11, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Classic Disney, Vol. 5: 60 Years of Musical Magic (Audio CD)
This addition to the classic Disney series is easily to be the favorite for those who prefer the earlier of Disney music. Bedknobs and Broomsticks' "A Step in the Right Direction," In the Bag's "Humphrey Hop," and "God Help the Outcasts" from Hunchback. Highlights are also from Hercules, Song of the South, Pete's Dragon, and Beauty and the Beast. This will make a most excellent addition to your collection!

This review is from: Classic Disney, Vol. 5: 60 Years of Musical Magic (Audio CD)
If you love Disney music, this whole set belongs in your collection... and this disc is no exception. I keep this disc in my big changer which runs here in shuffle play... and it adds a great selection of diverse Disney hits to the mix!

If you are a Disney music lover, and don't have most of these songs already... BUY IT!

5.0 out of 5 stars Yet More Classics, January 26, 2002

This review is from: Classic Disney, Vol. 5: 60 Years of Musical Magic (Audio CD)
The idea of issuing musical selections from Disney films, features and other areas of their world of entertainment continues to be quite satisfying. If you love the world that Walt Disney created and has continued on to this day, this CD continues to give you little musical vignettes across that span of time that are very nostalgic and uplifting as they did with the first four. Track 1: "I'll Make A Man Out Of You" from MULAN sung by Donny Osmond is really a great uplifting song. Track 22: "He's A Tramp" by Peggy Lee from LADY AND THE TRAMP is a classic. I hope they keep these CDs coming.

4.0 out of 5 stars Classic Disney V: Another Great Compilation, September 30, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Classic Disney, Vol. 5: 60 Years of Musical Magic (Audio CD)
Disney has given its loyal fans another great CD from its sound vaults. Initially 2 CD's, the collection has now grown to 5. Each one has been better than the rest. This CD has many great songs from movies both new and old. With the opening song, "I'll Make a Man Out of You" from Mulan through "He's a Tramp" from Lady in the Tramp, Disney transcends the years through music. The CD has songs from some of the current movies, older movies like Alice in Wonderland, and The Mickey Mouse Club. The CD even has a selection from the Beauty and the Beast Musical, "If I Can't Love Her," one of the saddest, yet most beautiful songs in the musical. If you can't decide whether to buy it, go ahead and do it; it's a great CD. You won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Why Did This Stop??!!, December 7, 2011
This review is from: Classic Disney 5 (Audio CD)
I LOVE THIS DISNEY SERIES!!! I have always been a Disney fan, and I just bought this entire collection several months ago. I listen to the songs all the time on my iPhone, and my favorites have to be on the 2nd CD. However, it pains me that Disney ended the series with the 5th CD. There are still so many classics out there that Disney forgot to include. They include "Grim, Grinning Ghosts" from the Haunted Mansion, "Friend Like Me" and "Prince Ali" from Aladdin, and "Whistle While You Work" from Snow White. They also could've added contemporary hits from Tarzan, Mulan, The Princess and the Frog, Hunchback, Hercules, even the broadway productions of Lion King and Mary Poppins. Regardless, I love this collection and will continue to love it for a long time. Rock on Disney!!!
