This review is from: Classic Rock Climbs in the Dolomites (Paperback)
I would give this book a higher star rating, were some of the minor inaccuracies corrected. The errors I found were not of any major significance, but simply "annoying." One in particular, was description of "Col Dei Bos;" which is one of the names normally used for the formation, and may have resulted during translation from German into English. The more frequently used name is "Col de Bois," which may have simply been a typesetting error?
That quibble aside, I really liked the selection of climbs! I've done several of these, but many years ago. This book brought back many great memories of beautiful days on Dolomite rock. The book is definitely packed with up-to-date information, and the topos are clear. There is adequate information allowing a prospective climber to find the routes, and gear information that would allow a reasonably safe-and-sane ascent. The full color illustrations from many of the climbing routes is "frosting on the cake," as far as I'm concerned. This book rekindled my desire to again quest for Dolomite limestone! Other than my annoyance over a few warts, highly recommended!

Great topos, great pictures. It just a joy to look at the content of the book but even better to climb the books routes.
