The Classic Encyclopedia of the Horse, August 4, 2000
This review is from: Classic Encyclopedia of the Horse (Hardcover)
This is the most complete book of horse information I have ever come accross. It stores the secrets to the most complex of the horse issues, horse training and understanding. It's very clear with it's explanations and very efficient in practice. Although the book originally printed in 1895, it's still very much up to date with it's information. It opens one's eyes to the mythical creature the horse is.

Classic Encyclopedia of the Horse, May 27, 2005
This review is from: Classic Encyclopedia of the Horse (Hardcover)
This is a comprehensive work on horses which includes training,
testing, the halter, blinding, feeding, classic diseases and
treatments. The author explains how to train the mouth with a bit.
Strap holding techniques are described together with strategies
to manipulate the horse safely. The volume describes how to cook
crushed grain for optimal feeding purposes. Even the evolution of
horse teeth is explained. For instance, teeth mature up to the
sixth year where shortened teeth evolve. The book is well worth
the price for horse enthusiasts and persons charged with caring
for horses on an ongoing basis.
