We gave this to our daughter for Christmas. It was used once for the holiday vacation from school. She did not start using it 3 times a week until January 2010. After only 4 or 5 weeks of actual usage at 2 or 3 times a week, the silver plating wore off of the chin area and the hand holding areas. The keys are starting to stick. The case is also very cheap. It came reaking of diesel. It also had a couple permanent stains on it from the gule. They cannot come out. The zipper and plush velvet looking material pull out from the corners easily, revealing the styrofoam below. THIS SELLER HAS EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! THEY HELPED US WITH THE RETURN!

The flute was certainly shiny! The lower notes sounded mellow but the high notes were screechy and squealy-sounding. Compared to my old flute, the sound was horrible. The quality was inferior. Sadly, I returned it.

I bought this for my 10-year-old daughter to begin lessons at school. She uses it every day and has already had a concert. The flute sounds perfect and the case is very cute!

The only problem we had was the piece of thin rubber on the shoulder strap - it broke off and we've only had it about a month. The flute itself, however, is beautiful.
