This cribbage set is little more than functional. The playing cards included in the set are the thinnest, worst quality cards I've ever seen. The playing instructions are very short and incomplete. If you are just learing how to play cribbage, you might wnat to also purchase a book like "Bicycle Official Rules of Card Games" to provide you with a complete set of rules. The board is cheaply made, but is functional. I guess this is a good starter set if you've never played the game and want to see if you like it before you invest in a better-made set.

Cribbage is a classic game of strategy and mathematics, great for all ages. However, this is just a basic board. Its only advantages are the price and that it has three tracks so you can play with three people instead of just two or four. It is pretty cheaply made, with plastic pegs and painted-on tracks. There are much more beautiful boards out there, many with additional scoring features if you really get into playing Cribbage. You can even make your own board, and any deck of cards will work. Bottom line: okay starter board for beginners.

This article arrived with a cracked board, poor paint job and cards that the advertising says are made by "Bicycle" but are made by a Chinese company called "Cardinal". The whole product is poorly made with craftmanship lacking. The metal container had raised edges where joined that scratched my wife's hand when she was removing the board from it. Upon inspection I would not buy this product again.

The Pavillion Deluxe Cribbage Set is a reasonably priced Cribbage Set. The set contains everything a beginner needs to get started for Cribbage play. This is a solid wood board, a deck of cards, 3 sets of Cribbage pegs, and a sheet of instructions of how to start play with up to six people. It is particularly helpful for a novice, such as myself, that numbers are marked on the board. There also is a tri-colored track to keep track of your pegs. The whole set can be stored in the tin Collectors' box that contains the game. Any drawbacks? Although the instruction sheet is enough to get you started on the game, there are no hints or basic strategies that might be helpful for a new player. That is strategies on what to discard to the crib or keep in your hand. An explanation of "Muggins" would be helpful. It's a painful but necessary tool for a beginner to keep track of their points. All in all this is a durable set that should provide many afternoons of fun.

When I turned the board over,it left a 2 inch sliver of wood in my pant leg. Sand all edges before using.

I love the board but, all advertising claims it to come with a deck of Bycicle cards but in reality it only comes with a deck of Pavillion cards.

Cribbage is a very fun. fast-paced game, which involves a lot of strategy. The Pavilion Deluxe Cribbage set contains everything you need to play cribbage: a very nice wooden board with a tri-colored track, pegs, a deck of cards, and an instruction sheet with instructions on how to play with up to six people. Being a very high-quality set, and at its low cost, this set is perfect for anybody who plays, or wants to start playing cribbage.

Although the game looks simple, which it is.
There is much strategy involved as well as luck.
Beginners can quickly grasp the game and even win
against cribbage veterans. It is a good game for 8 on
up. It teaches kids to be fast thinkers and helps
them with there adding. You can easily play a game
in 20 minutes. It can be addicting so beware.
Great game for the highly competitive.

I recently purchased this Cribbage Board from a local department store and was very disappointed with its quality. Since it folds in half, it has a hinge that wasn't installed very well so when it lays flat, it's not very flat. Also the holes are drilled really bad and the plastic pegs don't stick in the holes very well. I suggest looking for a better made cribbage board with metal pegs! I'll be returning this pos when I come across a nicer one!

I bought this as a gift for my 10 year old niece. She has been watching her mother and I play Cribbage for years and recently asked us to learn how to play. We have been playing since we were at least her age if not younger, when we were taught by our Grandmother.

I picked this set because it was similar to my own, but not as expensive. The nice things about this set in addition to the colored pegs, are that the lanes are also colored. Additionally it comes with a set of decent Bicycle cards and basic instructions. And I've found rules can vary from player to player, so I gave her a copy of the ones we follow.

So far she has enjoyed it and we have been able to play several times. I'd say for the price and value that this is a a good starter set or maybe an extra set for camping, etc.
