About the Author

Christopher Berg received his training at the Peabody Conservatory of Music with Aaron Shearer and in masterclasses with Andres Segovia at the University of Southern California. He made his New York debut at Carnegie Recital Hall in 1981. He has been honored by the National Endowment for the Arts as a recipient of a Solo Recitalist Fellowship, and by the South Carolina Arts Commission as a recipient of two Solo Artist Fellowships. The News and Courier called his concert for Piccolo Spoleto in Charleston "a stellar display of guitar virtuosity.. An awesome talent," and The State (Columbia, South Carolina) found his performance of Joaquin Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez "electrifying…hugely enjoyable and freshly played." Christopher is currently a professor of music at the University of South Carolina where he directs the classical guitar program.

5.0 out of 5 stars Christopher Berg is sole author, December 17, 2010
This review is from: Classic Guitar Technique:Process & Essence (Paperback)
I'm the sole author of this book (Christopher Berg). Andreas Berg has written a drum book for Mel Bay, Inc., but I'm not sure how his name became associated with this work. I just thought I'd clear this up (although the screen shot of the cover does make it clear).

This review is from: Classic Guitar Technique:Process & Essence (Paperback)
I'm not a big fan of Mel Bay books, but this one has a lot of good information and excercises. There enough to provide years of useful learning.
