Excellent self-teaching tool
Love the short chapters, the comprehension questions, and the glossary at the end. Wonderful way to continue study for the beginner/intermediate student.

Not appealing, not anything..........
This book was at times dull and boring, often put me to sleep during my Spanish class. I guess the parts dealing with the battles were alright, but the weddings and dialogue were horendous.

This book is maybe not an adequate text for people who don't like literature and history. It is a text that talks about traditions, the reconquest of Spain...it makes you wonder what would the world look like today if Spain stayed in the hands of Arab tribes from the North of Africa...
