Product Description

This classic chess set design has long been a standard for marble, onyx, and stone chess sets and continues to be popular today. The chess pieces have an attractive rustic Staunton look with slightly exaggerated features that facilitate carving solid stone. The Marina Stone (Rose) has shades of pink variegated with veins of dark brown and white creating a colorful pattern that makes this stone so popular for chess sets. The black marble is primarily solid black but may have gray mottled patterns and lighter variegations. The contrast between these two stones brings out the color of the Mariana even more. We cover the bottom of the chess board with felt to protect your furniture.

Other than it being a little smaller than I thought it would be, it's a very nice chess set. Well built and durable pieces and very clean looking.
