My husband and I love jigsaw puzzles. We get them as gifts from people a lot but find we don't enjoy the ones where nearly every piece is the same color and shape. This puzzle was great! Judging by the box, I was afraid it was going to be in all black and white, but it is color. Not having the picture added a challenge, but it wasn't impossible. It took us a few nights to finish it.

Though the story is a bit overly dramatic, the puzzle itself was a good challenge. Because it is in black and white, it is supremely difficult. Most of the pieces all look the same until you realize, 'oh wait, that white is half a shade darker than this white' and it's still guess and check. Even then, some of the pieces looked almost exactly the same and were the same color so you have to hold the pieces up to the light to make sure that it does fit together.
The puzzle was a birthday present to my fiance and it took us almost a month to finish (working about an hour or less a day, sometimes not at all-- it was very tedious after a while). Regarding the "mystery", if you can figure out the impossible murder, kudos to you. Alby and I had a theory and it turned out to be way better than the actual ending. It was pretty disappointing, but the puzzle was well worth the time. Also, the picture here on amazon is not of the Alfred Hitchcock puzzle.
