This product came free with issue 119 of British rock mag Classic Rock. As such I wouldn't pay too much for it simply since the person who is selling it to you (especially if they are from the UK) quite possibly paid zip for it. As for the music itself, it covers a range of styles within a broad hard rock framework and as the title somewhat suggests all these bands are being touted as somewhat influenced by Guns `n' Roses and the whole scene from which they emerged in the late 80's/early 90's. As such if you are a student of that form you could well find a few interesting odds and sods here from bands who are just playing the `wrong' sort of music to get much coverage in most of the hard rock and metal mags out there. For example this release got me interested in hearing more of both Crystal Pistol and Action City Blackout due to my enjoyment of their numbers enclosed herein.

Anyway, it's all gonna depend on the price and your desire to pay for a compilation of songs by bands you've not heard of before in all likelihood, but this ain't a bad collection of wattage. A very generous four stars.
