If you are looking for just a really, really good barebones case, this is it.
R. Smiley
My goals: Mid-size case, with a good balance of airflow options and cooling that could be configured to be relatively quiet.

As for supporting multiple graphics cards the NZXT Beta Evo can fit two or three Nvidia GTX 285 or GTX 292 videos.

I challenge ANYONE out there to present a better value in a computer chassis design than the NZXT Beta Evo! Lets go over the list of reason why I think this case is a perfect fit for many setups regardless of the price At $[...] the Evo beta is one heck of a deal!

Fans Galore, and big ones at that! In my review of cases I have found many to like on the surface but was disappointed with their cooling ability. my boxes usually run something with a dual GTX295 or the like. I need the cooling! The NZXT Beta Evo offers positions for Six different case fans. 1-Front, 1-rear, 2-Side, 2-Top. Four of the positions support up to 120mm size. The other two on top go up to 140mm size. All of the fan positions allow for the next size down with dual mounting holes (120/140 and 140/120). There is only one case fan delivered with the NZXT Beta Evo in the front. It's and excellent RIFLE bearing 120mm fan with the typical blues LEDs. I like the fact I can choose my own fans for the rest of the case. The bottom mounted power supply also has it's own filtered opening for air intake. All of the expansion slots and drive bay for the NZXT Beta Evo are a mesh design to allow airflow. Hidden behind the front plastic bezel are several more ventilation holes. Even if you don't get any more fans for the NZXT Beta Evo the combination of air intake locations for this case will provide excellent convective airflow for most setups with average cooling requirements.

Small size. This case offers the ability to lay flat inside a 19 inch rack. Okay so not everyone has this as one of their purchase points. But I wanted a chassis that could either stand up or lay flat inside a cabinet without getting scrapped up when I put it in.

In my opinion, this is simply THE BEST ventilated case for its price on the market today. This is because it is the closest thing to a metal cage ever manufactured for use as a PC tower. Basically the entire upper-back portion of the case is a steel grating. Everything on your motherboard WILL be breathing fresh air at ALL times, and plenty of it. A big part of this is because the PSU is mounted on the BOTTOM, and thus isn't blocking heat from rising up and out, so instead of having a giant, hot electrical box on top of all your heat-generating components, you get two giant 140mm vents. Your drives will be getting plenty of air too with the 140mm blue-LED fan on the bottom and the fully ventilated optical drive ports, but I've never been hugely into cooling drives. Last but not least, it just looks sexy. This is a no-nonsense case in every sense of the word, however, because with all that air passing in and out there comes a lot of noise. All your fans will be heard loud and clear by anyone within fifty feet of them, and so if you're really up tight about noise (which I'm just not... at all) you should either prepare to pay an arm and a leg for super-quiet fans or get a case with some kind of noise-dampening features.

So in the end, it doesn't have plexiglass plating so you can spend your time staring at your motherboard's flashing RAM sticks, and it doesn't have giant, strobing LED lights all over its back parts, and it isn't rainbow colored with bright orange polkadots, but it has a thorough mastery of the fundamentals. Its simple, cheap, and just works and does its job WELL.

Tons of room and upgrade possibilities is what I can say. Besides, it is not really heavy like most tower cases. I like the way it is painted black inside and I love the way it looks as well, simple and ready to perform. All in all, I would recommend it. Hope this helps.

Pros:
Has cable management with behind the motherboard plate cable channeling
Spacious for a mid tower
Black inside case
General constuction is solid

Cons:
Does not come with fans except for front fan, so need to purchase fans separately
Would be better with clear side panel
Screw less fasteners are not the best

Other:
Have purchased several of these to try on the market...will see how the customers like these.
I build with:
ASUS Sabertooth LGA1155 version,ASRock Extreme, or ASUS Maximus IV

Short but sweet review: everything about this case is perfect, except:

1. feet don't raise the case off of the ground sufficiently to allow proper airflow into the PSU (unless you have it on a perfectly flat, level surface)

2. if top-rear 140 is installed, it will block the cable opening for CPU power and rear fan cables (meaning they'll have to be installed over the motherboard (as opposed to behind it))

That's it...all else is literally perfect (though it really should come with at least a 120mm rear exhaust...loading it up with fans brings the total to over $80, so keep that in mind...).

p.s. I recommend this stand if your PSU is pulling air from beneath the case: Syba SY-ACC65029 CPU Stand with 5 Castors Wheel, Plastic, Adjustable Width (Black)
