Cufflinks for my daughter's wedding
on February 27, 2012
Much to my surprise, my daughter invited me to her wedding. I even got to have a supporting role, something about assisting her up the aisle. She had only a couple of requests. I had to get a haircut. I also wasn't allowed to play my harmonica at the reception. And I had to observe a dress code that was a real slap in the face to Parrotheads.
I acceded. I even bought a real suit and decided to wear French cuffs. Let's face it, French cuffs are a pain and have about as much use as...well, you get the point. But my wardrobe manager and I agreed that a simple and subdued look for cufflinks would be the most elegant, so I couldn't wear my 10-carat platinum mounted sparklers.
These cufflinks turned out to be just the ticket. While they are obviously economical, they are also styled with enough elegant simplicity to match most attire. I complemented them with a silver-patterned tie and maroon handkerchief. This combination worked very well.
So these come highly recommended.
