I got this for Christmas the year it came out, it was the only way to get figures of the classic Star Trek cast at the time. The display box is a cardboard Enterprise bridge, and the figures are blister-packed to the background. By opening the figures, you'd think you'd ruin the display, but Playmates thought far enough ahead to include a second background behind the one the figures are attached to!

Detail is good, for 90's Playmates. All characters include a stand, a phaser, and a communicator. And one of Spock's hands is in the "Live long and prosper" gesture, which is way awesome.

This is one of the things that you must have if you want to start a Star Trek collection. The toys look great for the time they were made (when some companies didn't care about what the toy looked like). The box actually has a great display and isn't just something to hold the action figures in. It's the kind thing that you can leave in the box and enjoy looking at on your shelf. It looks great

I can't remember what year my parents got this set for me, but it was awesome. My sister and I are over 25 and we still play with them. The paint has come off of them in various places, but we're still going to play with them until it comes off entirely.
