Bought these flutes when I was updating the camping (yes, camping) equipment a couple of years ago. I love camping but don't see the need to suffer just because I am on top of a mountain, out in the dessert or sitting on the beach. They don't add any additional weight to the overall camping gear, but they do add a nice touch to Sunday brunch. So far, after many uses, they still look great. So I would highly recommend them whether you're camping or just sitting out back by the pool.
Update 7/7/2011 Just thought I would update this review. I've been using these glasses now for over three years and they still look brand new. I even had a forest ranger start to lecture me about using glass in the wilderness before I let her know it wasn't, she was so amazed she stayed for a couple of mimosas!

Product is great, especially if you have a tendency to break glasses, or if it's for a boat, RV, or moving vehicle.
It's great because: 1. unbreakable 2. looks elegant 3. light 4. inexpensive

I read the reviews on these and this helped me in my decision to buy a ful lot of stemware and other glasses for my boat from Clearly Acrylic . since I dont want to have my 5yr old, or anyone for that matter get cut from broken glass on my boat. And i dont like to use just regular glasses.
I received Great customer service, which is something we have to search for these days. The guy was really the best to deal with, and even offered me discounts when i bought the whole lot. :-) When they arrived, i was honestly expecting poor to average looking stemware, and was prepared to deal with that , but i was really impressed. So impressed that i wonder if the other reviewers who reviewed other glasses in the lot, actually bought another product. The first day i got them I had some friends over and all of them were impressed, after they realized that they were not glass, not one initally realized, some had them in hand and still did not realize. When I set them up in the cupboard in the boat, people looked at them and told me they looked good but i was crazy, thinking they were glass, i have a system designed so that they do not rock while hanging, some are still non the wiser. Very good products, really well made, and reasonably priced. He noted somewhere that they have a fine line that is part of the manufacturing process.its there i promise but u have to really look good to see it, and i mean really look. and best of all they wont break and injure any one. Im actually about to purchase some of the white wine glasses to switch out with other styles when i feel like. Phill :-)
