I agree with the previous reviewer, this is DEFINITELY better than Baby Einstein. I watched it with my 2 year old son, and I couldn't take my eyes off. Beautiful animations with gentle themes, wonderful choices in songs, it's not one to pass up! It reminded me a lot of the original Disney's Fantasia, but geared toward babies and toddlers. My son couldn't stop asking, What's that? at all the different animals floating by. You must get this video!

Our five month old son expects Classical Baby as part of our daily routine. He responds and moves differently to each piece and is very interested in watching the animation. There are certain parts he smiles at every time, certain parts that make him kick and bounce in his chair, and only two videos in the entire series that consistently make him scrunch his nose, furrow his brow and whimper until we fast forward through it or distract him with talk or a toy until the next song/video begins and he gets right back into it. It is amazing and I think a great way to introduce your child to classical music, dance, and art.

The best thing that can happen to a parent! I love watching this with the kids. Great music, beautiful animations, and the best thing is that kids love it and you don't need to feel gulty about it, it is actually educational (both for me and the kids). Great gift too!

I would love to meet Amy Schatz, the director and producer, to personally thank her for the magnificient job in the creation and execution of all four Classical Baby movies. And Kudos to HBO for putting such quality programming on the air. I first saw the Classical Baby movies during the summer of 2005, when my first daughter was a baby. She was instantly attracted and hooked to Classical Baby, especially the Music Show. As she grew her interest lessened as other shows were introduced. She is now almost four years old and have started to watch them on a daily basis again now with her baby sister. She loves the videos and have learned from them. She can identify a few pieces of classical music and certain works of art thanks to Classical Baby. She is now reciting poetry as we have acquired The Poetry show recently. I highly recommend these videos to all my friends and family.

I discovered Classical Baby, The Art Show by tivoing it, and was instantly hooked, as was my toddler. This was much more in keeping with what I thought video entertainment should be, with original orchestrations, and iconic art. I, like many parents, am not crazy about parking my toddler in front of the television, but when we sit together and talk about the scenes or move to the music, I feel like this is as close to getting to a museum as we can get on a day to day basis. The Music Show is also wonderful, with great performances of a wide range of musical styles, from contemporary compositions to the most beautiful arias.

My son is 15 months and he loves it. The animation is fantastic and my son loves the music. It is a beautiful video. I have even gotten the other ones but the music show is wonderful. My son gets mesmerized and we watch it before he goes to bed and he drifts off peacefully right after....It's fantastic.

We love all three of these DVD's but our son has fallen in love with the Dance DVD more so. He loves the way the DVD moves from different types of songs and already shows he has his favorite songs. From birth we have played these DVD's as well as the Baby Einstein's once a day for him so he could engage with the music. At first like many young babies he showed very little interest. As the months passed he recognized the music and began to watch the DVD's. We did this so he could be easily introduced to this method of educational and entertaining media. The animations on all three chapters have a fuzziness making it look like you are in a dream. The music chosen for each presentation is perfect. It has it all, now get on the ride of your life and seat as family and enjoy this with your baby.

The family observed an amazing response from the two toddlers in the family. They are enthralled with the music and graphics. This is a wonderful introduction to fine music. The family hopes and prays that this apparent interest in classical music continues, perhaps even resulting in one or both of them pursuing some form of serious music. We hope there will be follow-on products of this caliber that will hold their interest during the rest of their formative years.

The music and art is wonderful. My 2 year old granddaughter and 1 year old grandson love watching it over and over.

My kids love this stuff, even the 3 and 6 year olds, but most importantly, the 10 month old.

The music choices are beautiful selections from symphony and opera with real instrument productions, unlike Baby Einstein which is mostly chimes or synthesizer music and baby toys.

We play the DVDs all the time. Anyone looking for something like Baby Einstein but with real symphonic and/or opera music will be very happy with this purchase. The music is incredibly soothing, and even the cartoon visuals are fun and relaxing to watch.

We love each of the 3 DVDs. My only complaint is that there aren't enough of these - why just 3? I do like that Baby Einstein had about 10 or so DVDs covering different learning things. Maybe this series will increase.
