I loved this CD. It has my favorite songs from Christmas. I found myself lingering on sweet memories and associations that these songs bring, such as attending Christmas eve services followed by a bounteous meal. The music is clear, and although the selections are well-known, they come across feeling fresh. During a time when so much is overwrought about Christmas, it is a real pleasure to take in the simple beauty of these songs. I particularly liked What Child is This and Winter From the Four Seasons. This is definitely worth getting.

This CD has a great assortment of familiar Christmas tunes as well as a couple of surprises; the elegant and stately Winter from The Four Seasons, and the Christmas Concerto from Corelli, for example, are welcome inclusions for someone like me, who likes meatier pieces in between. Also, the less known, hauntingly beautiful Coventry Carol, captures a mood of winter that is both chilling and crystalline. The Lumiere String Quartet has done a fantastic job with this CD, and is one that I recommend for discerning listeners who appreciate the quality of their musicianship.
Simply one of the best Christmas CDs in terms of sound quality and performance.

I loved this CD!!! I used all but 5 songs from it for the prelude music for my December 23rd wedding!

The quality of musicians and recording is incredible!

I would without hesitation encourage all who are looking for an instrumental Christmas CD - to purchase THIS ONE - you will not be disappointed!

This cd answers the need for top-quality, musical performance of Christmas carols and classical music - suitable for active concentrated listening as well as background music. It offers a superb and tasteful variety of selections and is perfect for a black tie party as well as music to play in the home for holiday cheer or relaxation. I'd even go so far as to say that it would benefit infants and pre-schoolers too- any age group.
This cd offers professional musicianship. The carols do not demand the proficiency of the classical selections. That's when the Lumiere String Quartet reveals is conservatory training! Stellar performance!

The Lumiere String Quartet put together an outstanding holiday CD. Classical Christmas has been played often since I received it and it isn't even Christmas yet! We will enjoy it for years to come. Lovely sound.

I collect Christmas music, loving the variety that flows from my speakers. My Christmas takes me from Jetrho Tull to Emmy Lou Harris, from blues to bluegrass, and from calypso to classical. Of the many, many holidayt CDs I love, this CD from a classical string quartet, prbably brings me the most calm, peace and, somehing nearly indescribable that feels like... like... Christmas centering.

And other listeners seem to feel it, too. I just had my son's 20-year-old girl friend humming me something, because she'd heard it during Christmas dinner at my house, and it was "soooo beautifil." We tracked it throuugh the CD turntable, and the piece came from THIS CD.

So I've just ordered five of these so I can gift tranquility to friends and family next Christmas. I never think to shop in advance, but this time, I'm defintely doing the right thing. If you want classical music, warm, quiet and beautifully played, here it is.

This is a lovely, beautiful CD of string Christmas music. I am extremely happy with this purchase.
