Format: Paperback
The article on Ecclesiastes by J. Stafford Wright is worth the price of the book! I gave it a 5-star simply because of that one article. The reading of Ecclesiastes that Wright gives is invaluable (a similar understanding of Ecclesiastes can be found in J.I. Packer's Knowing God). I have checked this book out from my grad school library but will add it to my wish list on Amazon. Some of the other articles are sure to be great reading as well. The articles by Hengstenberg, Fairbairn and Wilson are sure to be helpful. My OT prof assigned the contribution of Wright for Ecclesiastes, and that of Godet as a prime example of the traditional reading of Song of Songs (though he disagrees with it). All that to say, the readings in this compilation are landmarks on the path of OT studies.
