I have heard many compilations of contemplative classical music, aka "mood music," some good, some pedestrian. These selections by Jaroslav Kovaricek, Ph.D., make for a great album.

It's arranged into 3 segments:

Great CD. I listen to this all the time when I am writing or just in a mood for relaxation and reflection. Great classical and instrumental music and a worthwhile escape from the noise and chaos of work, traffic, kids, and that dog that keeps barking outside.

I even fell asleep listening to it and never slept so good. I highly recommend it.
