I am purchasing the CD because I have had a tape for over four years now that has been played almost daily. I use it to rock my daughter to sleep. She calls it "The Lady."

She's really old enough to go to sleep on her own, but she enjoys me singing with the beautiful songs. The lyrics emphasize the love between a mother and child, are soothing, and are so peaceful. The time we spend rocking with these lullabies has become a special time of closeness.

The singer has a beautiful voice. The tracks also include an instrumental version of each song.

There's nothing really wrong with this disc but Genie Nilsson's Angels All Around is so much better in every respect except a couple of extra dollars that there's really no comparison.

My son is 21 months old and goes to sleep with this tape every night. I started listening to it while I was pregnant with him. I'm ordering my second copy now because the cassette is really worn out and warbley. He loves it.

This is my most favorite lullabies casette tape ever for children! I played it every night for my daughter and now just turning it on helps her fall asleep instantly. It's soothing, the voice singing is beautiful and it envokes comforting, sweet thoughts for sleep.

I was given the tape of Cedarmont Kids Lullabies when my oldest son was born; he is now nearing 15 years old.

I would highly recommend the cd or download to anyone. I played this tape to two other children and they loved it too.

I believe the singer is Tanya Sykes Goodman. Whoever she is, she has a beautiful, soothing voice.

This make a wonderful shower gift to a new mother.

1st I would give this 10 stars if I could. I originally bought this 9 1/2 yrs ago when my 1st son was born (it was a cassette at that time at Walmart which doesn't carry it anymore) however I had lost it but kept the packaging for it. I knew once my 2nd son was born 7/2009 I was going to want the same one for him. Thank God I had the packaging so I knew how to search for it (going thru google) which brought me to Amazon's website and there it was but in CD format which was even better. I've listened to many other lullabies by other artists and some of the can be annoying but this one is absolutley perfect. Her voice is very soothing and even my husband and I fall asleep to it as well, it also has instrumental versions of the same songs which is nice. I highly recommend this to anyone who has a little one, my 2nd son is now 16 1/2 months and still loves it and will probably use it for at least another year or more like I did with my 1st son since I believe it's not just for babies so you do get good use out of it as well.

This is actually my second CD, the first was a gift from my parents after my first was born. Sadly when we moved the movers threw the disk into the bottom of the box without a case and it broke in 1/2. I immediately decided to replace it.
I love the singers voice, she's very relaxing to listen to and it's perfect for that calming bath time/dressing/feeding/snuggle session right before bed. Sometimes I would even fall asleep. Now that my daughter is 2, we put it on a programed repeat of just the music (no singing, other wise she would be up all night trying to sing with her) and she's out really fast.
Great CD... I highly recommend, if not for your children, then for you.

This is the best CD to help problem sleepers doze off and stay asleep. I bought copies for both my grandchildren and it works for babies as well as toddlers. Lyrics are included in case you have forgotten them. As they get older, the kids may sing along. At the end of the CD are instrumental versions of the same lullabies -- this helps children stay asleep.

I received this from my sister-in-law 11 yrs ago and played it for my 1 yr old son. He and I loved it. Son#1 was a really good sleeper so I didn't need it that often. Enter son #2....he was a terrible sleeper. I pulled out the cassette and used it again for him. I've since bought the CD. Son #2 sings along with the songs when he isn't particularly sleepy. This CD has not only soothed him many-a-nights from infancy, but it calms me down too. Her voice is so beautiful, and after 11 yrs of playing this album, I never tire of it. Son #2 is 6 1/2 yrs old now and he still plays it most nights, not b/c he needs it to sleep, he just likes it. I still love it. What is really nice about it is I am not a Christian and don't find the music particularly in-your-face Christian-like. They are just nice and soothing. It also has an Instrumental version of all songs for the second half of the album. I am pleased to see that this album is still around for purchase.

My newborn and I sit and relax to this wonderful CD. Perfect soft music for little ears.
