Shirley Bassey remains one of the greatest female entertainers of all time. With a career that has spanned almost 5 decades, Shirley continues to defy the passage of time as she entrances successive generations with her powerhouse live performances.

This CD presents Shirley at her current best, performing live in concert in 1997 as part of her 60th birthday celebrations. She is in a very playful mood with an audience of true Bassey fans all of which makes for a delightful listening experience. This CD brings together the best of the numbers performed in concert, all of which have been previously released by Artful under the titles "60th Birthday Concert" and "Diamonds Are Forever: Greatest Hits Live".

For those fans wanting to hear the current Bassey sound in front of an audience singing her signature tunes, this CD is a must. Whether its the bump and grind of "Big Spender" or the resolve of "This Is My Life", Shirley is in full command of her art and her audience. For those new to the Bassey phenomenon, this CD will provide a wonderful listening experience in the joy of the one and only Shirley Bassey. It's well worth a listen.

Yes, it's true that Sinatra is yet The Voice, but the Female voice is really Shirley.
She is unique. Sings like and Opera singer but dance and have all the audience in her hands, too.
Like the song. As time goes bye, she is performing each year as a new woman. Knows how to use her experience and change her energetic perfomances of the past for the glamour and experience to use her voice today.
Since I saw her in Buenos Aires in 1979, each concert was a new experience. That is her really best!! You can discover every time a new side of Shirley.
Unforgetable.

I love Shirley Bassey so its hard for her to go wrong with me. This was a live concert style album and I loved her Hey Jude Cover.
