As a classroom teacher I found this book very practical, and it delivered what it promised. The net is changing rapidly, this 2nd edition was published in 2007, and I used it in summer 2008- but no problems. before I finished the book I had functioning Wikis, classroom blogs, I had an aggregator searching the web for relevant information for me, etc. There is more than that (including podcasting that I haven't tried) and I appreciate the perspective the author provides.

I found this book easy to follow with great step by step information. It also addressed other technology I was interested.

This book does a fantastic job of explaining the elements of different technologies (Blogs, podcasts, etc.) along with ideas and strategies for how to use them for the classroom. Where it really shines, in my opinion, is with its rationale for using these technologies in the classroom, especially blogs. The rationale pushed my own thinking about how to implement reading and writing instruction within context of the world we live in today. The author's writing style is fluid and easy to read, allowing you to move through the material quickly.
