2.0 out of 5 stars This book was boring.
This book bored me. What kind of parent would make their kid do things constantly when they did not like the activites? This was the only book I did not like out of all the books I've read and I've read a lot.

4.0 out of 5 stars This book brings reality and imagination., January 4, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Claudia and the Genius of Elm Street (The Baby-Sitters Club #49) (Paperback)
Claudia and the Genius of Elm street is a good book. This book is very realistic but also very unreal. The book is about when Claudia Kishi, vice president of the BSC gets a normal time baby-sitting job with a new client named Rosie Wilder. Rosie isn't just any organiary or everyday kid, she's a genius, just like Claudia's sister Janine. She's also been on TV lots of time and is practicly a star. Rosie makes Claudia feel small, but it wasn't long until Claudia realizes that what Rosie really need is a true, good, friend -- like Claudia. Will Rosie accept Claudia as her friend? Read the book and find out! This book brings reality because everyone in Claudia's shoes would feel small if a young girl who is years younger than you and knows stuff about five times as much as you do. But it is also very unreal because there aren't that much kids that are geniuses, smart, into show business, and quite a star all at the same time. However, this is a good book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good book, April 21, 1998
This book was good, but it is fiction. The characters think up ideas too quickly, and espiecially Claudia being the dumb one. Overall, this book was pretty good, and I ejoy reading Ann Martin's Babysittters Club

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Claudia and the Genius of Elm Street (The Baby-Sitters Club #49) (Paperback)
claudia has to baby sit for a girl who turns everything she touches into gold. She's intelligent in english, math, singing, acting and dancing, but her real love is art. That's where claudia comes in. On a side note, claudia has her first ever art gallery show displaying drawings of junk food and other goodies.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Claudia and the Genius of Elm Street (The Baby-Sitters Club #49) (Paperback)
claudia has to babysit for a child prodigy who can do it all. Acting, singing, dancing and so on and claudia feels inferior around her since she's a poor student, but she learns that the girl is not very happy and feels like her parents expect too much from her from things she didn't really enjoy. She enjoyed drawing and art and that's where claudia comes in and she helps rosie stand up to her parents about how she wants to do art instead. I can relate to this book cause as a kid I took gymnastics, swimming, skating, piano and art but I wanted to learn ballet though I never did end up going for it though I learned how to dance on my own.
