POWERFUL !!!,
This review is from: Clauss 18039 8" Titanium Snips with Wire Cutter (Tools & Home Improvement)
For a LONG time I've been searching for a truly powerful and ultra sharp sizzor type of cutting tool. They all claimed, " Amazing Features " on the box. However, they all performed very poorly. When I bought these, it was because of the " Shear Type " of handle, allowing one to really clamp down with the full force of your whole hand, instead of using individual fingers, like traditional sizzor types. I wasn't expecting much after trying so many disapointing products. But, from the firs time I experimented with cutting, these things have proved ammazing !!!!. Yes, there are plenty of shears on the market, but generaly with short blades, and ment to work with only tin cutting, or yard work. these have nice long 8* blades, and - brother -- they are sharp. When you combine the cutting power of using your whole hand, with excelent blades such as these, you'v got a trully amazing product. My only bad experience with them was, first day I had them, I dropped them off of my 3' high work bench onto the cement floor, and the plastic latching clip, poped right off, so now they don't close right for storage. I am going to contact the manufacturer Clauss, and see just how good thier customer service is. The one thing I hate when returning an inexpencive product like this is, they usually demand you pay to ship them back. The hastle and effort of getting a box, going to the Post Office, standing in line, paying practically what the item cost new to ship it back, doesn't add up to justify the cost and effort. I will contact them, and just ask them if they will ship me a new pair....and I'll post my results hear.

I was first introduced to the Clauss Snips (I call them cutters) at work. You can cut anything with these, and they stay sharp! You can cut anything from paper to wire! I liked these so much that I bought myself-and-my wife a pair each. I use mine in my shop to cut rubber, leather, cardboard, and wire. She uses hers in the house to cut paper. This is one of those things everybody needs!

These scissors are great for heavy-duty jobs like blister packs, cardboard, etc. I love the spring assistance, comfortable handle, and plastic clip that holds the scissors closed.
The best part about the clip is that it can be locked back into the handle during use. I have some other scissors with a similar clip (hint: orange clip), but the clip has no method to stay open, so gravity often makes it fall back down between the handles which interferes with the operation of the scissors. The only con is the "wire cutter notch". Just forget about this part, I can't imagine how it would work or why it was even put there. It does not interfere with normal operation of the scissors so I did not take off any stars. However if you are looking for something to cut wires then this product is not for you.
