5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!!!! WHAT A GAME!!!!
I am a mother of four and a teacher of many!! I use this game in my classroom, and I love the way it motivates my students. We have teachers in grades 5th through 8th using this game. They love the way it keeps their students actively involved! My classroom has become a revolving door of students asking where they can purchase this game!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Trivial Pursuit for kids, too advanced for age group
I bought this for my 8 year old daughter. The subject matter is NOT for 8 year olds....way too advanced. Maybe one in 25 questions are of their learning level. The questions are likely great for 10 years +, more like 12 I'd say. But then I have to ask myself what 12 year old is going to motivated my moving their stuffed animal dog around the game board. I also think...

I bought this for my grandchildren, 12 and 8. I disagree that it is too advanced for an 8 year old. Just because she may not know the answer the first time 'round, she's learning quickly. And my 12 year old has a lot of fun playing the game, probably because he's hoping to get the 6 bones first. I'm hoping more question cards are available.

My 8 year old received this game for Christmas, and while there are plenty of questions he doesn't know, there are enough that he does to make it challenging and fun. (When you play Trivial Pursuit how many questions do YOU know the answer to?) Each card contains a statement which relates to another question card and then a question. My 8 and 6 year old sons both play this game, although it is quite challenging for the 6 year old. One of the suggestions with the instructions is to play with only some of the cards at first to give the kids an opportunity to master the questions more easily. As another reviewer said, give hints and make it fun!

We have enjoyed this game. We are homeschoolers/unschoolers and this was a fun way to gather information and determine knowledge levels. My 9 year old played it non stop for days just to get the points required to earn her "diploma". As a parent I found it interesting and surprising to see how much my children knew. I love the little bears...they are so cute. My daughter is now 11 going on twelve and she still enjoys the game. Need to get some upgrades.

The questions are likely great for 10 years +, more like 12 I'd say. But then I have to ask myself what 12 year old is going to motivated my moving their stuffed animal dog around the game board. I also think there is little room for children of different ages to play together (against each other) as the questions are so much more difficult. HOWEVER: there is a version of this game that is appropriate for the younger ages. Its called Diploma Pups. The maker of this game was kind enough to send me a set of the PUP cards after reading my review here. These are working out well with the rest of the game pieces, and together they make a game that can be played by different ages at the same time. I like the PUP cards well enough to purchase a few extra sets. I place the cards in my kids lunch bags and they share the questions with their friends at school. note: when I went back to edit my review, Amazon doesn't allow you to change the star ratings, I would now likely give it 3 stars.
