Clay Pot Meyer Lemon Tree

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my friend in Seattle. I have not seen it in person, but he absolutely RAVES about it. He said it was fragrant and had blooms upon delivery. It has been kept indoors and has produced lemons in less than a month. He says the fragrance fills the kitchen. I was skeptical about buying since there were no existing reviews for this tree, but I would definitely order one again!

The plant is great, and beautiful, but in hindsight, I recommend the $31.98 tree without the clay pot. This pot is a $4 pot from Lowe's, nothing special .

Although many leaves had falllen off by the time this tree was deleivered, the tree has made a rebound and seems to be sprouting new leaves. It also aquired some blossoms and has a delicious light sweet smell. The company that sent the tree was very helpful when I called to report the barness of the tree--they reassured me this was ok and that new leave would soon appear and if not, the plant was guarenteed for a year. I would reccomend this item.

The tree arrived healthy and quickly. I think the tree itself is a wonderful value. I had been looking for a lemon tree for quite some time, and was expecting to pay 50-100% more than I paid for this one. My only complaint is that the clay pot option that I elected to pay extra for was a bit disappointing. It was too small for the tree, and I instantly had to go out and buy a new pot that was bigger. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't have paid extra for the fancy pot. I would have just let it arrive in the plastic tub and then repotted it upon arrival because I ended up having to do it anyway. I am very happy with my purchase overall though.

It arrived well packaged and intact but the plant above the soil line is only about 10" tall and with a very few leaves. Little new growth. Nothing like the luscious pictures used to sell it. I'll give it some TLC but if it doesn't meet the expectations I was given, it's off to the bonsai table.

I received a Clifton's Nursery tree as a gift from my daughter. It arrived from the nursery with 2-3 leaves on 2-3" stubby twigs in a clay pot with moss. It neither matched the picture or the description. I called the nursery several times and the lady who answered the phone wouldn't/couldn't answer any questions about my tree and would only take a message for someone else to call me.

No one EVER returned a phone call. I called again as a potential customer (from a different phone number) asking questions about the tree, and suddenly this same lady knows a lot about trees! When I call her on it, she suggests I email a picture. I do. And no response.

After a few weeks I call again, and they hang up on me. These people are unbelieveable! My daughter spent a lot of her own money to buy me a special gift (I've wanted one for a long time). This nursery sent a 60-some-dollar-shoddy-dying-twig and they refuse to correct it.



UPDATE: I made one more phone call to the nursery and they sent another tree. I'm a much more satisfied customer now.

Received qiuckly. Needs some TLC to recove from shock of shipping, but I think the tree is doing good now. Would be nice to have some information about care of the specific item received.

I sent a lemon tree to my mom and it arrived in perfect condition. She's delighted.
