The product of performance ... ok ..

I like a more aggressive sound sometimes that what a .80 will give, so I ordered a dozen in 1mm and they work great for songs with more picking.

I may get some other thicknesses and shapes as I like a variety of picks.

My favorite picks used to be Clayton Ultem rounded triangles, but after trying these out I can't decide! They almost make the Ultems sound a bit clicky. And these feel lighter and thinner even though they're both .80mm. (Not a bad thing I actually like the feel) I still love my Ultems too though. I find myself switching between both of them quite often now. I'd definitely recommend!

The coating on these is perfect. They are much easier to hold but can still slide just a bit to go from strumming to picking. Quit screwin' around, get a dozen picks and don't be worrying about it. Hey man give one or two to friends.

It's not very helpful to review and rate a guitar pick, is it? Kinda like rating fruits and vegetables. Everyone's got their own favorites and reading a review will never magically make them useful to anyone else except the reviewer.

Picking the perfect plectrum is a matter of a player's preference. It's a profoundly personal perspective. The product of performance ... ok .. I'll stop ;-)

These are the exact size, shape and thickness for me, personally BUT *only* for acoustic guitar playing. I use a decidedly different pick for electric guitar and another size for mandolin again, according to my personal comfort and playing style.

My 5 star rating is inherently subjective.

No matter how I grab them I always have a point to pick with.
I have tried so many shapes and sizes over the 25+ years I have been playing and these work best for me.
It is such a personal preference for picks as to what thickness, material, shape you end up liking the most.
I prefer this shape and this type of plastic above all others I have tried to date.
This type of plastic does not rip as some other pic material does. I play the hell out of these picks and they ware down but I have never had any rip or break.

I have always played the big triangle picks, usually in the 1.0 mm thickness. Super recommended for clumsy people with big hands or if you have a hard time holding on to a small pick.

I have played many brands but Claytons are my favorite. I love these and the Acetals, but these seem a little grippier. The Duraplex's seem a little less grippy.

As my playing has improved I now prefer the 0.8 mm or 0.63 mm width. I am trying the Ultems and Duraplex's in 0.7 mm. Until I actually order and try them, this in the 0.8 mm is my perfect pick.

These picks are pretty sweet. I was a big fan of the white Ultem picks Clayton makes, but I think I like these even better. They seem more durable to me and more like the tortex material Dunlop uses. I purchased the .80mm and they are very much like Dunlop's .80mm for comparison. I may get some other thicknesses and shapes as I like a variety of picks. If you've never tried this shape of pick before you really should, especially if you play acoustic and do a lot of strumming-they're great for that. So if you like tortex pics and want a bigger styled pick, this is the one.

When I'm bored, I like to play a lot of the so-called "cowboy chords" and kind of strum along to music. I've experimented with a few different picks and styles of guitars (acoustic, hollow body, and electric). These days, my go-to strumming guitar is my Gretsch hollow body. Anyhow, I wanted something that had didn't add too much of that scraping sound when strumming.

I thought that I wanted some thin picks for that purpose, and actually that probably wasn't wrong, but 0.38m is a little too thin. I gave one to my friend as a joke, and he tore the pick in half with almost no effort. 0.38mm is also a little thin to be playing notes/solos. However, I do like the shape of these picks and they do feel really good. At some point, I am going to buy some that are thicker because they are a nice fill-in item for an Amazon order, and let's face it, who out there isn't constantly losing picks.

I ordered the .80mm and love the shape. The shape is only slightly larger than normal but makes a big difference in your hand/fingers.
