Actually TOO Bright,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Clayton Picks Ultem UST72/12 Guitar Picks (Electronics)
I've played with the Clayton Acetal teardrops for years and absolutely love them on the acoustic guitar. When I saw that Clayton was making a tear drop in what they consider top of the line material, I had to try it. My first impression is WOW, they're REALLY bright. They seem to make individual notes within a chord stand out, but the brightness of it is almost too much. Also, I've noticed that I can hear more unwanted pick noise from these than the acetal variety, especially on parts where individual strings are picked out.So after one day with these Ultem picks, I have to say no, it is not an upgrade over the cheaper Acetal material. I can see these coming in handy for particularly dark sounding guitars or to extend the life of your strings. I'm going to wait a bit for my strings to dull out a little and give them another try. Also, it's possible that I need to break one in, sort of how the higher quality plastics in disc golf require a few solids smacks into a tree before they fly true. We'll see, and I will update my review accordingly. 2115|R2V2MI3VX71VL2;
