Truly exceptional material & sound,

This review is from: Clayton Picks Ultem US56/12 Guitar Picks (Electronics)
These Clayton Ultem picks are actually some kind of breakthrough...they sound great...clean, clear, bright...they transmit vibration from the strings into your hand in a easy (not harsh) natural way whether picking or strumming, and they last way longer and spew much less dust on your guitar than typical plastic picks. I use the .56 for acoustic and the .72 for electric...killer for pinch harmonics and the most subtle musical gestures. Now that these picks have spoiled me, I literally cringe when I can only find a Fender or Martin pick. Highly recommended.

The second that this pick hit my strings I was stunned. Bright and warm all in one. They add detail to my playing that has made me a better player. A real nuance thing. I defy anyone to suggest a better pick. I'll try it but with much reservation. LOVE THESE PICKS!

A great inexpensive alternative to tortis or tortoise shell picks.,

This is one of my favorite plectrums. It is incredibly durable and will show almost no wear after tons of use. It has very limited flex, which I consider to be a good characteristic in a pick for most applications. This pick does not slip easily in the grasp, the texture allows it to be held firmly and comfortably for long periods of time. The tone produced by this is quite near to tortis shell, or to the very expensive Tortis brand protien polymer picks (from Red Bear Trading which mimics real hawkbill tortis shell almost identically). The tone from this pick is very crisp with balanced overtones and quick attack. The shape is the all time classic. Dollar for dollar this is one the very best all around picks out there. Now go play yer' guitar!
