Everytime I find something that works, they take it off the market.

I loved the system, and hate the fact that after spending good money for it, I can no longer find the soap or filters in my local stores.
Michael Ott
It's a great soap, and the Mr. Clean AutoDry is a great car wash kit.

I was just informed by the "good" folks at Proctor and Gamble that the Mr. Clean Car Wash system, and thus the soap and filters for it, was discontinued last year because of "poor sales". I loved the system, and hate the fact that after spending good money for it, I can no longer find the soap or filters in my local stores. However, I hate bing ripped off even more, and anyone who pays 40.00 a bottle for the refill soap is getting just that-ripped off. This soap was originally priced at 12.00 or 15.00 a bottle-certainly no more that 20.00. This Liquidation outfit is trying to take advantage of the public because this is a discontinued item. If you buy anything from this outfit, you are truely a sucker, and I have a bridge in Brooklyn that I'd like to sell you. I say boycott this outfit, and let this product gather dust on their shelves until transporters replace cars as our normal mode of transportation.

I was looking for your product online and order it only to find out I paid 35.00 for a bottle that i bought in your local WalMart for 5.99, so I was really disapointed to only be able to buy 1 bottle for 35.00

Great system but as previously mentioned it is DISCONTINUED. CVS drug stores still has some remaining complete starter kits to liquidate. Just picked up three complete systems @ $5 each (gun, starter soap and filter) at my local CVS. You get 3-4 washes out of the starter kit. No way I'd pay the outrageous prices that are mentioned here on Amazon. Bottom, line, works great but don't fall in love with it as you will have problems finding re-fill supplies.

I have been using the Mr. Clean auto wash system for years, and it is not only effective, but it's a real time-saver. You can wash the car in sunlight, and you don't have to hand-dry it...just a few touch-ups in shaded areas. It does a good job of cleaning the car, but--more importantly--leaves no water spots.

I have found that to fill the soap dispenser with this expensive, discontinued and rare soap wastes soap. I love the system, only use the applicator to spray the de-ionized water and suggest you put the special soap directly on a micro fiber car wash mop. It is wasteful to use the applicator to apply soap and it goes a lot further when you shoot a big dab of the soap right onto the sponge. The rinse filters are a big racket too! those use to sell for 6/$7 a piece and now you gotta pay throug the nose to get this discontinued product. Also bugs me that hillbilly sellers bought out clearance stock on this stuff at 20 cents on the dollar and now you pay double the former retsil price.

Too bad they quit making this stuff. It really drove up the price. I really like the Mr. Clean system but I guess I will have to find something else.

04.24.14 just now found out Mr Clean AutoDry has been discontinued. Too bad. Only just today I washed my car with it, as usual, didn't have to do much drying. It was an excellent product.

If you want something comparible, try Armor All Wash and Wax. I've used it several times in the past few months, it's very good, and similar to AutoDry, but also does a very light wax job. It won't take the place of regular conventional waxing, but does a good cleaning job. See my review on it. It dries quickly, and you don't have to do too much hand drying. Try it. There are also some other Wash and Wax products out there.
