About the Author

Author and chef Daisy Williams is passionate about clean and healthy eating, but she knows that it can seem next to impossible to someone just embarking on a food journey. It took years for her to move from the all-American diet processed and chemical-ridden convenience food to a healthier lifestyle that draws true nourishment from organic, whole foods. Now that she’s made the transition herself, she loves helping people realize that there is a healthier way and that it’s not as hard as you might think! Eating clean didn’t come easily to Daisy—her food journey started out of pure necessity. After being constantly ill for years and trying just about every medicine under the sun, she finally tried the nutrition angle as a last-ditch effort. A friend had advised reducing the chemicals in her diet, and since nothing else seemed to be working, she figured there was nothing to lose. Within weeks it became clear that nutrition was a huge factor impacting her health concerns! And thus her passion for clean eating was born. Daisy is convinced that most people can improve their quality of life by adjusting their nutritional lifestyle. And she wants people considering clean eating to know that it’s not impossible; in fact, it’s delicious! Her new book features some fantastic clean eating recipes, from green smoothies to Paleo slow cooker recipes that you’ll love. Her dream is that through her story, people will be inspired to make healthy changes even before their health is suffering.

I have been in the health and fitness industry for several years and am always looking for ways to improve health. I picked up a copy of 'Clean Eating "New for 2013" Your Guide to Eating Clean' by Daisy Williams as I know clean eating offers an array of health benefits.

I was blown away as this book is crammed full of helpful information on how to eat better. Daisy does a great job of covering why it is important to change our eating habits and how making healthier choices can have a profound effect on our bodies. Daisy covers how to remove Chemicals and Hormones from your diet, where to purchase your meats, gives lists of food that are know to have chemicals such as PFOA, BPA, and why you should stay away from Genetically Modified Foods (GMO) without feeling deprived. I love the grocery shopping list tells exactly what you should be purchasing at the store to make sure you are eating clean.

Being a bodybuilder, it has always been important to eat clean foods. Eating clean in simplicity terms just means eating whole, unprocessed food that provide your body with macro nutrients it needs to thrive and provide you with the best health possible.

I highly recommend and enjoyed reading Daisy Williams book and think anyone that is serious about their health should not only purchase this book, but incorporate the great information in the book. You only have one body and the sooner you start the better chance you can avoid disease and live a life full of energy and vitality.

This book is one of those health books that don't really tell you to lose weight but instead get healthy. In emphasizes the idea of eating the right type of foods to make your body function better, and losing weight will just be the end product of the entire process.

The book gives you 4 chapters jam-packed with tips on what types food are considered clean food, where and how to choose your clean food, how to get motivated with eating clean and in the last part, you will find a useful shopping list for common clean food that you'll find in your local fruit stand or grocery store.

The book is short but it still has pretty good content which is useful for one to know the basics of eating clean and healthy. I would recommend this to people want to stay fit by exercising and to people who want to stay healthy by eating the right way.

This book was very short and mentioned a lot of things people already know. It would have been nice to have some clean eating meal ideas. It didn't offer much guidance. Just a very surface explanation. I would not recommend it.

Thought it would include recipes and more info. Not very impressed. Basically gives you a list of foods to buy, which you can Google instead. Not very much info on how to carry out the diet.

I had heard a lot about clean eating recently and wanted something to give me some knowledge. This short book was a good way to get a quick glance at what clean eating is.

Clean Eating is an incredible resource for people who are new to dieting and healthy food. For so many people in my circles who aren't familiar with what it means for a food to be organic, or antibiotic-free, etc. this will help clear things up. Clean Eating is probably the best first step someone can makes towards improving health, quality of life, and overall well-being. Making these changes now is what will help us as a society and as individuals dealing with diseases brought on by the things we put in our body.

It's absolutely useful in the store when you are buying your groceries, to make sure you're making the right choices. Honestly, this is one life-decision that you can't afford to not make. Start today, transform your life. Daisy Williams is a fabulous writer and so knowledgeable; her book, Clean Eating, is the first step and guide towards feeling and looking good from the inside-out!
