5.0 out of 5 stars Nudes from an impressive group of art photographers, December 15, 2008
This review is from: Clean Fine Art Gallery (German Edition) (Hardcover)
A thousand years from now, scholars will hopefully use this book as their single best snapshot of this period's great art photographers. Virtually unknown ten years ago, most of the artists featured in this publication have jettisoned to the top of the art photography world in just the past few years, thanks in large part to the worldwide exposure available through the internet. Their collective dominance alone makes this one of the finest publications of 2003 and if justice prevails, will make this one of the medium's all-time great books. Featured photographers include Ahura Azan, Manfred Baumenn, Sylvie Blum, Martin Boelt, Marc Collins, Michael Diehl, Christian Grünewald, Norbert Guthier, Jiri Hampl, Herbert W. Hesselmann, Paul Himmel, Roman Kasperski, Ralph Kerpa, Freya Mertens, John Morst, Björn Oldsen, Gabriele Rigon, Herbert Horst Staack, Gordon Thye, Carsten Tschach, and Rikk Zimmerli.

3.0 out of 5 stars German Nudes, May 3, 2006

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Clean Fine Art Gallery (German Edition) (Hardcover)
The first book by Markus and Christian was spotted with a bit of fine art and glamour thrown together. It's a shame that there wasn't a common theme in the book. One minute your looking at something amazing then the next your looking at a woman on a toilet, naked. Each genre has it's place, but not all mushed together. Fine art is for books and the glamour stuff is really for magazines. I could pay $3.00 at the news stand to see some of the photography that was presented in this book. When I buy a book of nudes, it's because the photographs are just too good to be put in magazines.
