This album is excellent. It has a good beat, as well as some tenderness in it too. Ilse DeLange has a wonderfully raspy, yet serene voice, and hails from the Netherlands. I am quite partial to that country, cause my husband was born there. He first introduced me to her music. I have become a huge fan since World of Hurt.
My suggestion to anyone who may be on the fence about purchasing this album, would be to go ahead and do it. It is an album that may have to grow on you a little, but trust that it will. I have listened to it about 5 times so far. Of course, I have a netherlands connection, so I don't pay the import prices quoted here, but if I didn't have the connection, I would pay the prices to get her music to me. I hope that if enough Americans become interested in her music, that she will get some air play and start to market her music in the US so that we can get to know her music well. America is missing a huge Star when Ilse isn't here to light our stages!
Buy this album! You won't be sorry!

warning! this is not a country album! ilse delange is developing her music towards real pop music. however, if you like "world of hurt" this album will not be a great shock. i still think "world of hurt" is her best, but this one comes second with a star! try the song "heavenless" and die!
again with a totally international band, her dutch boyfriend, liveband member and drummer, is not even on it! so is none of her dutch touring band.
and the quality of the instruments is very high.

Ilse DeLange is my absolute favourite. And she has been since 1998. This album differs from the others. But..... Ilse is Ilse and.. Ilse rocks! Listen to 'Thank you' for her powerfull voice.
