5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!
I have been using mine for at least 3 years and am slowly buying them for all my pillows, especially the guest rooms. There have been no problems at all; I do close the zippers when laundering. If I had been Sue H., I would have returned the cover with the faulty zipper to the store. I think she just had bad luck. I have six covers and never a problem. Now am...

2.0 out of 5 stars Didn't last long
I purchased this pillowcase cover when diagnosed with a dust mite allergy. It seemed to help. The problem with this case is the defective zipper. It wasn't long before it started separating when opening/closing it. When I took it off to clean the last time I spent 15 minutes trying to get the zipper closed. I finally gave up & threw it away. Since it was only a few...

It wasn't long before it started separating when opening/closing it. When I took it off to clean the last time I spent 15 minutes trying to get the zipper closed. I finally gave up & threw it away. Since it was only a few months old, I definitely didn't get my money's worth. Could be it was just a case with a bad zipper but that doesn't improve my experience.

3.0 out of 5 stars One gave up after a year; the other still perfect., January 17, 2010

I bought two. They seem pretty well made - a synthetic shell with a very thin rubber-type coating on the inside where it's not noticeable while sleeping. The shell is a little slicker on the outside than you typical pillow, so your pillowase slips around a little more than without it. But neither my wife nor I found it objectionable.

My cover's inner rubber lining gave up into a fluffy disintegration after about a year and several washings. The case itself was still OK. My wife's entire cover is perfectly fine after an equal period of use and equal number of washings. Maybe the case just didn't like my skin, or maybe mine was from a different manufacturing lot.

These are working out great! They actually sleep very nice and they are not noisy like you think they may be when first opening and feeling them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well-priced pillow protector, August 16, 2010

We bought these for our new king size pillows to help fight our allergies. They fit our king pillows perfectly. The zipper is placed nicely, a couple inches down and concealed with a small flap. Clean Rest needs to update the picture because it does not properly illustrate the zipper placement.

The only thing I would mention is that due to the cover's necessary tight weave to battle dust mites, the pillow slowly deflates to normal softness when first laying on it. It's kind of like laying on a float with a leak in it. The air finally pushes out due to pressure, and it's happy sleeping (or reading) after that. I doubt this would be a problem with foam pillow users.

4.0 out of 5 stars My headaches are gone, August 29, 2011

This review is from: CleanRest Allergen Barrier Standard Pillow Cover (Kitchen)
I had been getting headaches and read on Dr. Mercola's site about possibility of mold, etc in my pillow, so I bought these for the family and they have made a big difference. My husband doesn't like how it keeps air in the pillow, which pushes his head up a bit, but otherwise we have all noticed a positive change in our sleeping.
