5.0 out of 5 stars Best trimmer/shaver ever!
Whoa. When I saw that there was a video review option, I wanted to make a video of trimming my pubic area just to show how positively nice this little trimmer is, but that probably wouldn't go over so well.... So, here is my written review instead. :)

This nice little trimmer is very close to a shaver, in fact, because it does remove almost all of the hair...

3.0 out of 5 stars Definately a shaver and not a trimmer!
This item is somewhat different than expected. I guess I relyed too much on the reviews. I found it to be a total shaver, it removed 99% of the hair. There was basically no need to follow up with another razor. Not what I had in mind. I was expecting a crew cut style length, not the full monty. There is no length adjustment, so it cuts what it cuts, which is everything...

Whoa. When I saw that there was a video review option, I wanted to make a video of trimming my pubic area just to show how positively nice this little trimmer is, but that probably wouldn't go over so well.... So, here is my written review instead. :)

This nice little trimmer is very close to a shaver, in fact, because it does remove almost all of the hair. In specific areas, such as on the front of the pubic bone, where the surface is harder, all of the hair is trimmed. On softer areas, where you must pull the skin tighter, it shaves extremely close. Still not all the way down, which I love, because it avoids ingrown hairs and razor bumps, but the hair is so small it's almost undetectable.

The shape and size of the shaver makes it extremely easy to manage around the delicate curves around that area, and in the months I've had it, I have only nicked myself twice when I wanted to do a quick job of trimming. (When dealing with trimming around that area, I recommend never trying to do it "quick.")

There is no adjustment of length except in how hard you press the trimmer to your skin, so if you need more options, don't buy this trimmer. If you just want a really neat, clean-shaven look without all the incredible itching, this product is AMAZING. I suggest using it with a tiny bit of Burt's Bees natural baby powder, too. This will absorb excess moisture from your skin and give your shaving an easy glide, so the plastic doesn't stick to your skin.

My boyfriend is sold on it and intends to buy one for himself as well. He says it is also the best male pubic trimmer/shaver he's seen. (Remember, guys, about how easy it is to manage around curves and delicate areas. ;])

5.0 out of 5 stars Yes Guys This Is The One, August 31, 2008

This is the first review I have written among the hundreds of items I have purchased over the years here at Amazon. I am so pleased with this product I just felt compelled to write. First... note I am a guy, and yes I like to keep my personal space tidy (my wife loves it) and have been searching for an easy way to do this for years. Every product of this type I have tried that claimed would not cut or nick you has been bogus. I am here to tell you this one isn't. This product has given me incredible confidence for this task. It will not nick or cut you and gets close enough to matter. If you have been searching for something like this, the reviews don't lie, this product is outstanding and I highly recommend it. As a side note, again for the guys I recommend getting the T-Shape handle version instead of the straight one, it makes reach and maneuvering much easier.

5.0 out of 5 stars I highly recommend this trimmer., July 29, 2005
This neat little trimmer has been available for years in Japan, and has now come to the United States. It is a battery operated trimmer (one AA battery, which is included!), and is designed to fit comfortably in the hand. The shaving head itself is well designed, and has never given me even the smallest of cuts.

The small size of the head makes it ideal for trimming eyebrows and the bikini area, and even allows for detailed trimming, for when you want to get creative in your trimming. Now, this is a trimmer and not a shaver, so chances are that you will want to follow up with your regular shaver to get rid of any residual stubble.

I love my Femini (where did they get that name, though?), and use it all the time. I highly recommend this trimmer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent shaver IF slow and steady, July 7, 2008
This personal shaver is nice to use. I am a male and as a result- razors and other shavers tend to "snag" on bumps and hair folicles causing very uncomfortable nicks, scratches and bleeding.

If you use this shaver (men) it is vital you use a personal clipper first to get hair as short as possible. Then use this shaver with a SMALL amount of shaving talc. I tend to use the talc in sections; upper body, upper groin, testicles and leg grooves, then tailend last (blushes).

I use SLOW one direction strokes (against the hair), go back over the area using SLOW circular strokes then using directional strokes again dragging my fingers in front of the razor. It takes me about a half hour to completely feel smooth but *shrug* anything good takes time *smirk*

When doing the testicles and area between legs to rectum..... make sure you use LIGHT strokes and be very careful with seams- they will catch even on the fine screen and bleed like a bugger.

I rarely use talc after but I guess that is a personal preference. Sometimes if I feel a bit itchy along my uppper groin I will use a bit of skin softener... perfumeless.

This shaver is very nice to use with a little practice. Beats the hell outa a razor or shaver for face! I highly recommend this shaver assuming one knows how to use one and is willing to take their time shaving.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love This Little Trimmer, August 20, 2008

This review is from: Cleancut PS335 T-Shape Personal Shaver (Health and Beauty)
As mentioned in other reviews, the size of this little appliance is the soul of its convenience. The head is fairly narrow for a T-shaped shaver, and at one and three-eighths inches, it fits anywhere you find appropriate to put it, navigating the sharp curves of the inner bikini area nicely.

The minimal flaws that I associate with the Femini have mostly to do with its being battery powered. As the battery runs low, the blades will naturally begin to slow a little, and you may end up pulling a hair instead of cutting it - owie. And yes, as the instructions above state, you do need to slow down a bit if the hair is extra long or thick, for the same reason. Finally, as other reviews have mentioned, it's a trimmer, not a shaver; it won't leave you smooth as silk. For that bit of stubble left over, Seiko S-Yard makes the Cleancut, another fantastic little battery operated product. Together, they work very well indeed. Why wax?

If you are looking for a trimmer,or for the option to trim creatively, this is not for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good trimmer, January 2, 2008

(REAL NAME)
My wife and I were looking for a trimmer to, how shall I say, "closely" trim her bikini line. We own a Wahl trimmer, but it is quite bulky and is really meant for trimming neck hair, sideburns, beards, etc...not the bikini line. We even tried waxing, but that was just too painful for her.

Based on good reviews we decided to try this trimmer. So far, we are quite happy. It trims very closely...probably the equivalent to how close it would be maybe 12 hours or so after shaving with a good razor. It is also small and agile enough for detail work. If you are reasonably careful and don't move too fast, it doesn't jerk, bite, or grab the hair.

It is easy to clean and runs on a single AA battery, so it is very convenient to use.

For what we bought it for, it works quite nicely.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!, October 23, 2008

This is an awesome trimmer!!! I have owned seveal others and this one is by far the best. Just remember to work VERY slowly, trim with the grain first, then against the grain and it will give you a very nice trim- no nicks or pulled hair, even in the hardest to reach places. If you want to have a completely smooth look, you will still need to go back over the area with a razor or shaver- the Seiko Cleancut shaver is the best one I've found.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dandy Little Shaver, July 28, 2008
This review is from: Cleancut PS335 T-Shape Personal Shaver (Health and Beauty)
This little shaver is great, but I must add that our purpose for purchasing it was a little different. We have a special granddaughter - she has cerebral palsy- and one of the key occurrences with CP is premature underarm hair growth. Now, nobody wants to shave a 9 year old, but we want to prevent odor, too, so we bought this for her and her mother loves it. It's just tiny enough to do the job and safe enough for our precious little girl.

While its working, it works great. We are on our second one. The first made it nearly 2 years. Toward the end it was starting to pinch and pull a little, thus the new one.
At the price, I recomend you think of it as a long term disposable. In that light, its a great product.
